I’m still grieving hard for her. Adopted another dog, poor thing was so traumatized it was awful. She’s coming out of it a little at a time. Will write more about her later. -

Well, it has been a long time since I’ve posted. Life has been hectic to say the least. The last time I posted I had only had my precious Pug Grunt-Grunt for about a year and a half. She was in good health then. In July of 2020 i started to notice that her hind legs started to not working quite right. I took her to the vet, and she acted like it was no big deal. Just watch her and let us know if anything changes. Gee thanks doc! NOT! Well she stayed about the same until November. We had to move during that month and I noticed she was wobbling more, but still motivating good. By Feb of 2021 her wobble was getting more pronounced. I wanted to take her in to the vet, but was unable to due to unexpected bills. This had me spastic with worry that she had degenerative myelopathy. By April of 2021 I had started using a walking sling with her and it helped her a lot. She was able to run around the yard as fast as I could follow her. I started thinking about a wheelchair for her. Then found out that there was no way I could afford to buy her one. I’m on a low fixed income and the prices they want are outrageous. Then by the grace of God I found a charity called High Rollers Club that help dogs get wheelchairs when their hoomans can’t afford one. In July Grunt-Grunt’s chair arrived, and all I had to do was donate what I could afford towards the cost. Mama Cynthia, the lady who runs the charity does everything she can for mainly Pugs, but she doesn’t turn any dog, cat, pig, even a goat away. Grunt-Grunt loved it and took right to it, for regular walks again. Our yard is so small that she didn’t maneuver very easily in it, so we continued to use the sling in the yard. Again my house is too small for her to use her chair inside. When inside we carried her long distance, she weebled and wobbled pretty good if not going too far. In March of 2022 the eye that had been injured before I got her ruptured in the back. The vet had to remove her eye, to the tune of $1,200. Thank…[Read more]

returned home yesterday after two weeks away … no warm body to scold me for being gone or to cuddle with when going to bed .. i miss my little mardi but know she is better off where she is .. just miss her company soooooooooo much ….

Walking in the door of an empty house is one of the hardest parts for me. I am sorry and hope seeing some of her favorite spots brings you a smile (alongside the pangs I know you’re feeling). Mardi was lucky to have your care and love in her twilight years, as you were lucky to share her life. Deliberately recalling the better days can help us remember why we open our homes and hearts. Parting is part of the deal and while we know that in our heads, in our hearts we are broken when it happens. We’re here for you, and I hope you will join our group meeting Thursday July 20th 7PM EST – 5 PM MTN. Links are under “Events” on the right side of this page. Sending you {HUGS} and love 💕 Toni

my eyes keep leaking this morning when there is no litter box to clean out and no little furry body telling me it’s time to feed her.. i know this will pass; it’s just that i miss her sooooooooo much right now .. at least i don’t have to worry about her escaping each time i open a door to the outside! -

Toni,
I’m so sorry to
Hear of the passing of Walter. In the short time he was with you in his final fur ever home you both touched each other’s lives and once again your heart is hurting and has another hole, hopefully at the right time to be filled by another fur baby in need of a loving fur ever home as Walter was.
As hard as it is to say good bye for the final time you made the right decision to set him free of his pain Hindsight bring for sight, I let my spirit suffer longer than she should have because I was selfish and wasn’t ready to say goodbye. While the decision to set Autumn Ranger and Saraya free wasn’t easy I tried to be less selfish and release them earlier on so they didn’t have to suffer anymore
You and everyone else mourning the loss of a beloved animal or human are in my prayers. -

Well when she was 12 weeks old a so called friend took her to be a part of her family after a 1 and 2 months she brought the dog back saying she was an inconvenience and didn’t want her. She ended up getting really sick on Friday so we took her to the emergency Vet and they said she had Parvovirus they found from the other vet that she was never vaccinated and they tried to save her but it was just to much for her. I have filed a lawsuit against the so called friend but it doesn’t change the fact that Ms Molly suffered and we miss her so much. -
