              Good morning.
Well yesterday,Princess had her yucky drainage tube taken out.She is healing well.
I am able to take her outside to go potty. Her appetite is becoming better.I guess when you have really bad teeth it hurts to eat.But now she only has two teeth left.
On the first of June her staples come out and she can finally get rid of the cone.
I would say my prayers every night to let me have more years with her.She is my best friend in the world, and I would be so lost without her.

Hello to all new pet parents here.I am sorry for your loss of your faithful companion.
              I understand your heartache.
My mama cat was struck and killed by a car 7 months ago,and my heart was shattered as I had her since she was 7 weeks old.She was almost 15 years old,and accidentally got out of the house.
You are at a wonderful place here, because we all understand what it is like to lose a beloved companion, but a family member as well.
              ((( Hugs)))

              Good morning.
Princess is doing well, and it’s killing her having her freedom restricted to being in a crate.
She goes in Friday to have her drainage tube and staples removed.
Even though she is on pain meds and antibiotics, she looks 100% better.I can’t wait to be able to take her on walks again.
Thank you for your kind words.
              Much love~~~~
              Dianne and Princess ❤️❤️❤️

              • Whew! This is Fabulous :-)…well, not the crate and tube and staples, but she can do it for a week. Hopefully the meds are making her sleepy so she doesn’t mind too much. And Dianne, Thank You for being such a kind, caring member of our community. HUGS to you Both!

Good morning, I guess. My little best friend is having her surgery tomorrow, instead of on June 1st.
I am preparing myself for two things. One,because she is 12,I am preparing myself in case she doesn’t wake up.
And two,I am preparing myself in case her left back leg may have to come off due to this cancerous tumor that is attaching itself to her leg.
I am super stressed out and I don’t feel well.
I have to take her about 7:45 tomorrow. Please pray everything goes well for her,and my little best friend can come home.

The vet had said that she really didn’t want to have me make the decision of putting Princess to sleep, unless there were rescues with funding to remove the huge tumor on her belly, and the ones on her backside. It is so nice to have such a caring, compassionate veterinarian willing to help someone before making the decision to euthanize my little best friend.
                        Prayers do work

                            Hello and good morning.
Well,my best friend had her vet appointment this morning.
And it’s not good news unfortunately.
The tumor on her abdomen is a fast growing cancer, and the ones on her back side is cancer too.
The vet said that this cancer will continue to spread.
I mentally prepared myself for this…BUT…there is also good news.
She had spoken with a rescue who has the funds for my dog to have the surgery covered.I don’t have to pay anything.
They took blood from her to make sure the cancer hasn’t spread.
The vet says she has a 50/50 chance of the cancer not coming back, which is good,I suppose than leaving this untreated.
So this is the update for now.Have a good weekend everyone.

                            • Oh my dawg, Dianne, how wonderful. I have been thinking of you both all day and am just delighted for you. Do keep us posted. 🙂
                              • That’s awesome news!! What rescue is helping you?
                                • Cody I am not sure as the vet didn’t say.Thank you.

My anxiety is in overdrive because I am stressing over Princess’s vet appointment tomorrow.I feel super sick over this.In my heart,I know what has to happen, and I know it would be selfish of me to not ease her transition to the Bridge. My heart is breaking. She has been my best, loving little best friend in the world.

                                          • If it’s what is best for her, keep that top of mind. It doesn’t matter when you have to part, it’s going to hurt you, no matter how much time you get to have together. But if she is suffering and facing declining health, becoming more uncomfortable and being unhappy just going through what she is, it’s the supreme kindness, unselfish gift you can give her. It hurts from deep, deep within, but it hurts everyday you see her suffer, too. This way, she will pass in peace. You can know you acted only in her best interest, not your own, because we would keep them forever if we could. This is why I shared what helped me after saying goodbye to Beauty Girl (petting and sleeping with a stuffed toy, having a picture of her made, donating her food and things to the shelter), and why our community is here to share their experiences and moving through the terrible emptiness and grief. Dianne, you WILL find the pain easing, and you will have times when the tears and pain flood over and through you. But, please try to think of the great life, love and joy you shared. She could have lived on the streets and had a horrible life, but you gave her all you could and I hope you will think kindly of yourself. Now, you let us know what the vet says, and if you do say goodbye, clip a little fur to save- I did that and am glad to have a bit of my beloved with me. We are all here for you. {{HUG}}
                                            • so very sorry, it is never an easy decision to make. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

So I don’t really know what will happen on Saturday morning when I take my dog to the vet.I am,however mentally preparing myself for having put her to sleep.
This lump is getting bigger, and it’s hard. She isn’t herself anymore. It isn’t fair to her to keep her alive if this lump gets bigger
I have nobody to help me,and I have been begging family members to help me by giving me a ride to the vet,but my pleas for help turn on deaf ears.I am not a bad pet mom. Please do not judge me.I live off of a monthly income, and I cannot drive anymore.
I know because she is 12,she wouldn’t survive being put under anesthesia.
Every night,I look at my little best friend, and know deep in my heart, what I may have to do for her.
                                                Keep us in your prayers.
