I’m so sorry for everyone’s loss it’s so hard we lost our Snowball 5 years ago I still cry for her

Isn’t it different, Lori, how the tears just come on, and from deep within? Little things can trigger memories and sometimes, tears. I hope you also find smiles when thinking of Snowball. Thank you very, very much, Lori. I am doing better – I think of how she was failing and the last week of her life it was clear she was not doing well. That helps-knowing she passed comfortably.. It’s lonesome and empty, but I am truly grateful for our times together. And, I am grateful for the support and understanding from our community. Thank you again. Toni

Nothing new here been super busy my brother passed away July 29 we are trying to sell his house my niece got married in November

Wow Lori, it’s been awhile and I am so glad to hear from you. I remember you lost your brother and shortly after, had to say goodbye to his dog – is that right? Gawd, what a terrible time that was for you. It’s nice that there was a happy event with a wedding for you all to enjoy. I know it’s been several years since you and Snowball parted, and I know the holidays bring back memories of all our loved ones. Holidays are a mix of happy and sad times, aren’t they? Well, I certainly hope THIS season is filled with happy times and joy, Lori. It’s so nice to hear from you, please join in with us more often if you can. {HUGS} Toni

Just going day by day my brother passed away 3 weeks ago and the following Saturday we had to put his dog down

Hi Lori 🙂 So glad to have an update from you. I know Snowball has been gone 5+ years but I also know we will always miss those we love, not that we are always in the throes of grief, in fact, at some point we dwell in the joyful memories, but I think we will always miss our beloveds. Have you brought any other pets into your home and heart? Can or would you consider volunteering at a shelter? It means a lot to hear from you, Lori. Do stay in touch. Some of our members can use more of your supportive words. It’s kind of you to share that way. Hugs, Toni

I was looking at pictures of the pets with whom I grew up and even after decades have passed, I got choked up, so we all understand how memories are the enduring gift of loving, and some tears come along with them. Do you have a picture, or pictures, of Snowball we can see? Will you adopt a new furry friend? Keep us updated, please. Thinking of you.

Lori, as we see from so many of our bereaved friends here, time isn’t really important when it comes to grieving, and even when the really hard part eases, we still miss them. And tears pop up at the smallest thing that brings the memories. So, you can cry with us, and smile about the good times, too. Please, let us know how you are.
