@stevenkloos Hi Steven, and welcome to our caring community of pet lovers. You are so kind to care for so many animals, and I am sorry for your losses. If you would like to share stories about your lived together, and share some photos, we would love to hear. Please invite your sister-in-law to create a memorial for Penny if she likes. It can be healing to remember her that way. I look forward to hearing from you, and wish you all well. Toni

It’s so hard when we don’t know what happened to them. I like to think my Chivo (who went out one night and never returned) was cat-napped. I checked all the shelters and hospitals and drove the streets looking and calling for her. I’m sure you did the same for Teddy. It hurts, and maybe more because you don’t know. I am very, very sorry, D’Etta and hope you will let us know how you are coming along. {{HUG}} -

Dana, I had to take a day or so to reply to your absolutely moving, heartfelt, loving tribute to Ladiebug. You have a talent for story sharing that is touching and inspirational. There is always pain in parting, but knowing Ladiebug was ready to find peace and relief was a gift back to you, do you think, for the kindness, caring and love you shared. I hope you find it comforting to share with us – we find comfort in knowing others in our community understand and truly care for one another. Oh, what a lovely, and loving, story, T. So heartfully written and expressive. In the book “The Traveling Cat Chronicles” (I highly recommend it to every pet lover), the cat tells us animals have their “Person”. Meesha had you as her Person. Makes sense that just as we have special relationships with animals, they have with us, doesn’t it? And your ongoing work with, and for, other animals is so kind, caring and generous of you. Did you know?? You can “Search” for a pet or person by name in our Search bar on the upper right side? And, you can click on a persons name to read all of their posts? It’s so very helpful to hear from others in our Community, lending support, sympathy, encouragement, and of course – smiles and laughs, too!

I am so happy to hear this, Dianne. I saw my beauty this morning, but not since, Every day I expect I won’t, but so far she eventually wakes up and we snuggle and love together, but she’s not doing too well. I’m where you were with George – evaluating when it’s just not fun or comfortable being her, and it’s in her best interest to help her pass peacefully. It sure is tough. Glad you are doing better – that encourages us all. -

Oh Randy, it’s so hard to look at their wonderful faces, and eyes, and know they are gone. I’m sad, too. But, that’s the deal we make going in – they are only “on loan” to us and one day we have to say goodbye. But boy, what a great gift and fulfillment for them, and us, to share loving lives together. You will always love them, and more and more you will find smiles before tears. I want you to know how much we appreciate your sharing with us. We’re all animal lovers, have suffered partings, and are totally thrilled when we see good, fun stories, too. Woof, and {HUGS}. Toni -

He sure is handsome, and you are coming along well with your training :-). The photo of him looking up the tree (squirrel duty) is beautiful. It looks a little misty and magical. Is he eating an ear of corn, or playing with it? Thank you for sharing him with us, Randy. -

@grandma2011 Hi Dianne. I think about you a lot because my darling old girl who will be 18 in March is doing okay but I can tell she is failing and I know how you and I share the terrible anticipation of their (George – Baby Mama) passing. It’s tough, to say the least. Any way, I do think of you and hope you will let us know how you are doing. Toni
