The hardest thing I’ve ever had to do it say goodbye to my Dexter. He got CHF unexpectedly. I cried for days. 4 months later I got Dixie and she’s been my saving grace. Don’t be afraid to get another pet. You’re not replacing him, just expanding your love circle. God bless -

All of us have lost our best friend and companion. Some deal with it differently but there is no wrong way. Talk to us for we will all support you and maybe you’ll find the way that works best for you. God bless -

I seriously tried to join but never did Zoom before. It wanted me to jump through hoops and add all kinds of numbers and stuff. Sorry just didn’t know what to do. I’m very sorry that I’m old and don’t get this stuff. But I did try-

Oh my dawg, Chuck!! I am not making this up – I was thinking of you and Dixie yesterday (remember when you painted her nails pink?). Wow, has she grown up🤗What a beauty. Still a lap dog, I see😎 I can’t believe it’s been 3 1/2 years. If you can, please hop on our group meeting with Dixie so we can say hi. It’s Thursday August 15th at 7PM EST and the link is under the “Events” tab on the right side of this page. Update… Dixie the doxi is 2 1/2 yrs old and though not replacing Dexter, has made this journey much easier. Asia the Bischon is the newest addition. She\’s a huge brat lol-
Chuck!! How delightful to hear from you and Dixie!🎉 What color are her nails now? 🤗When did you get little Asia? They look like they get along well. You may recall that, after my beloved BG passed, Boots came into my life and, as you say, didn’t “replace” her but certainly helped me through the terrible grief. It’s a good reminder that when one leaf has fallen from the tree, another will bloom. I hope you’ll tell us more about your two little hooligans, and stay in touch. 💕Toni

Just thought I\’d add a couple photos of my Lil Biker Babe aka Dixie. She\’s definitely filled the spot Dexter left behind. Getting another puppy was the best choice I\’ve made-
Chuck! I think about you and Dixie all the time – I tell people about you painting her toenails :-). You certainly have a way with the pups, turning them into biker dogs. I am so happy to hear from you, see pictures of Dixie, and know that you are doing well. You touched us deeply when Dexter passed, and are always a most welcome part of our community. I am just tickled to hear from you and Dixie. Please don’t be a stranger, and have a wonderful holiday. Hmmm…. will you share some holiday phots of Dixie with us? Huge {HUGS}. Toni

Got a new little girl last Tuesday. Her name is Asia and she\’s a Maltese Shih tzu mix-
We’ve missed you and Dixie, Chuck. Is Dixie still with you? Oh my dawg….Asia is too cute. Is she a baby? How big (small) is she? Can’t wait to see their summer nail polish choices :-). Bring the girls to our group meeting on Zoom this Thursday. We’ll send an email with the link. So happy to meet Asia. And to hear from you again.

Last Monday we had to say goodbye to Wasabi our little princess. It was 4 days from the one year anniversary of saying goodbye to Dexter. RIP my beautiful puppies-

Hi Chuck. I am delighted to hear from you, but not with this news. Anniversaries are so very hard, and yours is made even harder with Wasabi’s passing. Is Dixie doing okay? Were she and Wasabi close? How long were you and Wasabi together? Was she close to Dexter? I am just so very, very sorry for you and your family. {{HUGS}} Toni

Oh gee, Chuck – I was looking through costumes and saw the pet nail polish and thought “Who would do that?”….:-)…Now we know! I’ll see about adding that to our Shop. I think the red is purrrrfect for Dixie – it sets off her beautiful fur, and is seasonally appropriate. Nicely done. She’s too cute. Thanks for sharing, and please send pictures any time.

Dixie is now 6 months old and weights in at 16.4 lbs. She has the coolest personality. Still missing Dexter every day but she\’s definitely filling up my heart in her special way-
Chuck, HI! How is little Dixie? How are you? Will she be dressing up for Halloween? We have costumes available on our site now :-). I figure her for a pirate…. Anyway, I think of you and Dixie and look forward to hearing more about your lives together, and to seeing more pictures 🙂

Hi Toni! Dixie is doing great. She got fixed 2 weeks ago and handled it very well. She’s still a little shit and loves to tear stuff up lol She does have a bratty attitude and fits in well.-
It’s so good to hear from you and Dixie, Chuck. And I am glad you are finding happiness in your memories of Dexter, and joy with Dixie. Well, she doesn’t look like a brat – she looks like a proper young lady in her dress and fancy bow on her collar :-). But then, looks can be deceiving…. Wow, she’s bigger than I pictured, and very pretty. Keep us in the loop, and have fun!

She was born on March 5th. Dexter passed on January 13
Dexter had a mohawk, Dixie was born with a mohawk. She wasn’t the puppy we were looking at, but she’s the one that came to us. In my heart I know Dexter came back to look after daddy-
I don’t doubt that, Chuck. And I do think they “choose” us. This is just wonderful 🙂

Oh Chuck, you’re making me smile so hard seeing this little face. She obviously is happy with you and is just pouring love out of her. You are kind and generous to open your home and heart again. We want to see more of Dixie, watch her grow and learn, and know how you both are doing. Thank you for being a part of our community. Here’s a HUG for Dixie 🙂

It\’s been a little past 3 months since I said goodbye to my buddy Dexter. Yesterday we got Dixie. She\’s a doxipoo and pure terror lol she\’s filling the emptiness I\’d been feeling since January. I still miss my little boy every day but memories are now with a smile instead of a tear. Thanks everyone for being there-
Chuck! I am so glad to hear from you. I think of you and am delighted you opened your heart and home to Dixie. Oh my, what a little doll she is :-). That face! Daniella posted a picture of her Sedona, and I think Dixie and Sedona both have the sweetest little faces. I can’t say how happy I am to have you update us, Chuck. Dexter is always with you and I am sure he is delighted you are sharing your love with Dixie. Thank you for introducing her, and please yell us more, and share your adventures. By the way, how old is Dixie?
