I miss my fur babies that have crossed over everyday … and think about them all the time … they\’ll always be in my heart – however we now currently have 2 very active dogs that keep us on our toes! We had Anubis when my little Bella passed away and shortly after that we adopted Birdie. We are nuts and life is currently crazy!!
    • That’s purrrrfect Terrilynn :-). It’s good to hear from you, especially with happy news. It really does help to heal a broken heart when new lives and energies enter our lives. Beautiful doggies, by the way. Enjoy, and keep us updated. Toni

awww … how sweet 🙂 I lost my little girl on Aug 8 – writing memories, feelings and emotions helped me a lot – I also ordered the book Griffin’s heart – it’s a book of stories as well as places to journal, paste photos and read stories about other people feeling the same way you do. Wishing you much peace! hugs, Terrilynn

are the cats used to being on a leash?
when we moved from NM to FL my BIL and SIL adopted our last cat from us – they live in Seattle – I got some calming meds from the vet for the airplane ride – IMHO I would think that the cats would be more comfortable just staying in the car … but none of my cats went outside, nor were they trained to walk on a leash. Best of luck!

I am so sorry to hear about the lose of your precious fur babies – I’ve lost several around the same time – within a few year time span- because we adopted them all around the same age – we knew 10-15 years down the road they would all start to pass away…
Happy to hear that you’re helping your heart heal but adopting again – a new one never replaces but helps the heart to heal.
I lost a little girl and have been using the book Griffin’s heart- it helps to read the stories as well as journal feelings down … wishing you much peace! hugs, Terrilynn

                      HI Toni,
Thank you so much! I appreciate the love! I am having a very hard time … I look “ok” on the outside but inside my head, I’m screaming! and I’m very disappointed that my family (other than my husband) doesn’t seem to understand my grief 🙁 I feel very alone in this journey … my husband tries to do what he can …but he can only do so much … but I’m still getting out of bed and trying to accomplish what I can … I still have one fur baby, Anubis – and Thank the Lord for him! He’s 3 and has been a life savor – so I am trying to focus on him (Anubis) … and trying to appreciate all the wonderful memories my precious little girl (Bella) gave me … today is also the 3rd year anniversary of another one of my fur babies passing (Isaac) – when my dad passed away almost 4 years ago my fur babies were my saving grace – I honestly don’t know where I’d be if it weren’t for them – and I have human sons as well! I love my sons, they are a blessing but there’s a special bond between my fur babies and I … Thank you again for your kind words! You have no idea how much it means to me!
                      Hugs,
                      Terrilynn

Every word we share, every item we offer, is designed to help. The book “Griffin’s Heart” was written to help the author heal from her own seemingly unending grief and I think you may find it a good, interactive not only book, but journal for your deepest feelings to help you heal. You choose whether to share it with your husband or sons, or not. It’s in our Shop.
It IS disappointing when others don’t quite “get it” but I am sure they are unhappy for your pain and probably don’t know what to do or say. Were Anubis and Bella good friends? Is Anubis doing okay? No question our fur babies understand and comfort us in ways no ‘human’ can. And the pain of parting is a different kind of pain. Terrilynn, this is so very recent and I would be surprised if you weren’t in a lot of pain now. One day you will smile before you cry, thinking of her, and you may even feel a little guilty about that. But Bella would want you and Anubis to be happy for your shared lives and love. Please be with us as often as you like and need. And thank you for the Hug. That brings a tear to my eyes. You be you……..we’re here for you.
                          • Terrilynn — you and Bella are exactly why I wrote Griffin’s Heart. I felt completely broken after I lost Griffin and I needed a way to process the pain and sense of isolation. We’re sold out on Amazon, but Toni sells it here. Check out GriffinsHeart.com to see if it’s for you. I’m getting hundreds of messages from readers who feel exactly like you (and me!) — let me know what you think. Either way – I’m sending you love… remember to take all the time you need to heal. 💛💛

                            • On August 8th I lost my precious angel, Bella – I adopted her from an animal shelter in March 2010 where she was \”guessed\” to be 5 or 6? – and I had her for 11 1/2 years – her and I have been thru a lot together … she was my BFF – I miss her so much … I feel so lost without her … <3
                              • Yikes, Terrilynn – no wonder you are in such pain, and grief. It’s so recent and raw, and Bella is so adorable – her little nose is so darn cute, and I feel her personality in this picture. (Thank you for sharing this). You certainly were fortunate to share so many years together, as was she. It’s really horrible to part from such a dear, beloved friend and I am so, so very sorry. But wow – what a gift you gave each other, too – so many shared times of ups and downs, laughs and tears…. Terrilynn, you just sit with your grief and let the feelings and memories wash through and over you for now. There is no other place or way to be for awhile. We understand and want you to let us walk through this with you if you like – we truly understand and are here for you. Please, check in often and know we are all thinking of you. Here is a HUG for you. Toni

HI Dawn, I am so sorry for your loss … One of my soul dogs, Isaac, also passed away in his sleep – while it was shocking and difficult, I believe that it was a “gift” from God as He knew that I would never be able to say goodbye to Isaac. I’ve had to let so many of my special fur babies go, and making that decision is so hard – the amount of pain of loosing them is awful, then to have to make THAT decision to say good bye just makes it that much more difficult. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
