We are moving to West Virginia and taking our two cats in their carriers in the car. We have disposable litter boxes, food and water, as well as calming spray. We plan to stop at rest stops and let our cats out on harnesses and leashes. Any suggestions or advice?

    • How long is the drive for you?
      • are the cats used to being on a leash?
when we moved from NM to FL my BIL and SIL adopted our last cat from us – they live in Seattle – I got some calming meds from the vet for the airplane ride – IMHO I would think that the cats would be more comfortable just staying in the car … but none of my cats went outside, nor were they trained to walk on a leash. Best of luck!
        • I think you’ll be okay for a 4 hour drive. Just make sure your gas tank is full! There are a lot of mountains depending on the part of state you’re in — beautiful drive ๐Ÿ™‚
