I miss my pitty Hershey. She chose me. I opened my door and there she was. She walked in she kissed the other dogs and cats and layed down on a bed and fell asleep. She reached the end after 16 wonderful loving years. She was my smiley wiggle butt.
          • So sorry for your loss.
            • I’m very sorry for your loss. She knew her home was with you. Cherish your memories and she’ll be with you in your heart
              • What a lovely story, Louise. Thank you for sharing it with us. I love how Hershey just made herself at home with you, and that you had so many wonderful years together. Let us know how you are doing, and if you would like to share more about your other pets, we’d love to hear about them, too. Toni
                • Louise, I am so sorry for your loss of Hershey 💔 What a lucky pup to have found you. Wow, she knew exactly where she would have the best life and home full of comfort and love. Sixteen years full of wonderful memories I hope will comfort you. Hugs to you 💔
                • @tamz Hi Tami. How are you coming along? Do you have new sketches to share with us? We’re thinking of you.Toni

                  • Hi Toni. I’ve been busy this week so I haven’t had much time to sketch. I’m hoping I can do some artwork next week. Thank you for thinking of me. My kitties are helping me get through the days.
                    • Hey Jessie! Adorable photos
                      • Jessie, is this Boomer with you? May we hear about Boomer – how you met, how long you were together….anything you care to share. And how are you doing, Jessie? We’re here for you. Toni
                      • this is a photo that my sister took of June when she came up for a visit. I am still missing her. I was telling my husband I miss my other fur babies I lost, she was with me the longest. Aaron ( my Husband) said it’s still new too and fresh. I give all my hugs to all here lost their fur babies. 🤗🤗🤗
                        • Aww that is a great photo.
                          • Thank you Cody. Hope all is going good with you.
                            • Cheistina, how are your migraines? Does the Botox help? My aunt gets shots every three months, too, and finds reief. Is your back better? Sadness and grief take a lot out of us and can contribute to physical pains. Conversely, joy and happiness can increase our energy and help us heal. Are you still writing notes to June? Have you noticed your messages are getting a bit happier with your memories? Have you tried writing what June would want to say to you? I bet she’d be all happy and grateful for your love and care, and would want you to be happy for having her in your life. It’s good to hear from you and I hope you will let us know how you are coming along. {{BIG HUGS}}Toni
                              • Hi Toni, yes I still write to June…it comforts me so I don’t forget about her… my Husband and I were talking about her the other day and I just started crying….Aaron says it’s because I had her the longest and she was born on my birthday…as for my migraines, my next treatment (Botox) I get on October 20th and they do help. My back is much better too. I am able to move around better. Hubby helps out a lot too.
                                • She’s beautiful. It’s never easy to lose the ones we love. At least you have many loving memories of her.
                                  • Thank you Tami, 🤗🤗🤗

Update… Dixie the doxi is 2 1/2 yrs old and though not replacing Dexter, has made this journey much easier. Asia the Bischon is the newest addition. She\’s a huge brat lol
                                    • Chuck!! How delightful to hear from you and Dixie!🎉 What color are her nails now? 🤗When did you get little Asia? They look like they get along well. You may recall that, after my beloved BG passed, Boots came into my life and, as you say, didn’t “replace” her but certainly helped me through the terrible grief. It’s a good reminder that when one leaf has fallen from the tree, another will bloom. I hope you’ll tell us more about your two little hooligans, and stay in touch. 💕Toni
                                      • Hi there Chuck, I’m sorry for your loss but I am glad you adopted. When I lost Lulu I had no purpose in life until I got Lucy. She runs me ragget. Glad you have something to mend your heart….

Ah yes, birthdays and holidays are extremely hard, but also give us a reminder of the good times, do you think? I have pictures of my beloved babies on holidays that bring me great joy, too. I’ll share with you that, last night, I was thinking of good times with my girl Squirt, who was 19 when she died, over twenty years ago, and I cried. That totally surprised me, and made me feel good and bad at once – bad that she was gone (gee, for such a long time), and good and grateful for the times we shared. Treasure the tears and smiles, Crystal. It’s what loving is all about💔

Hi all… this is Frisco. I lost him almost 2 months ago. Actually, I had to make that awful decision. He was 3 months shy of 17. I especially miss him being at the door waiting for me. Towards the end, I would have to jiggle the handle and wait a few minutes for him to get up as his arthritis was full blown. He had puppy brain tho, and couldn\’t help himself from chasing doves or kitties. He was my best friend. I miss him soo. Gosh I could write a book on all our adventures, some good some pretty funny. Thanks for letting me share.
                                          • Such a good and beautiful boy. It’s so hard to make that decision. I had to do it a week ago today. Maybe writing a story a day in honor of your best friend would help you. It would be an amazing story. And a wonderful tribute to him
                                            • Denise, how lucky were you and Frisco to share so many loving and fun years together! I agree – saying goodbye, while hard, is actually a loving and kind thing to “feel good” about – but coming home to a quiet, empty house is brutal. And yes, indeed, writing to and about our beloved is a wonderful way to express your feelings and thoughts, to send them a little message of love❤️You might also find comfort writing what you think Frisco would send to you in a note. You are welcome to share any of your writings with us. We understand and care. OH! Please join us this Thursday at our group meeting to share more about Frisco and your lives together🤗Toni
