Remember 4 years, 10 months agoThis is my oldest boy named patchy he passed away at the age of 14 back in 2016. Patchy when he was the only one at the time spoiled rotten I mean have you ever heard of a dog getting their own cheeseburger money? Patchy used to get his own cheeseburger money and I will take him to McDonald\’s and he will get a plain cheeseburger and also would get his own ice cream in a cup. Patchy was half pit half Lab he had the personality of the lab ears forward lab ears back pit but when people will see patchy they would swear up and down they don\’t see no Pitbull but I\’ve seen it. Patchy used to love go fishing with me he was set back in the truck and just basically chill out. Now before I had got gangster patchy had a friend named k.c which was another neighbor\’s dog that I had to set up play dates so patchy can have somebody to play with before gangster came into our lives. When I used to take patchy to the dog park he had a thing for the tall female dogs he didn\’t care for the ones that were his size he like the female Greyhound dogs or any other tall female dogs at the park. Patchy was smart as a whip and every time you will talk to him he will perk his ears up and he will always tell his head to the left and to the right that\’s how you know he was listening to you. I used to take patchy to PetSmart a lot and OMG we wouldn\’t even be near PetSmart and he would literally flip his wig before we even got there is like he knew where he was going before he even got there. Patchy used to always jump at the door and it would be so funny because he would jump so high and me and my mom would make fun of it when I used to live with her. We will always say JUMP because we said so jump for all doggies and he would do it. Now he made a best friend with the mailman and me and Mom never knew how he knew the mailman was coming so me and Mom would be sitting in the living room and we\’ll see the mail truck come and Mom will always say get ready get ready and the first time mom would say get ready he would do his head tilt to the left and to the right but by the second time she said it he knew who it was. There would be times where I would take him outside so he can see his best friend and he would get all excited and be so happy to see him. And when patchy was a baby I\’m not sure what it was about him putting the leash in his mouth as I walk him it\’s like he had to make sure I was with him. Now how he learned how to jump was by watching a bullfrog one night I took him outside on a walk to let him go potty and he saw a bullfrog jumping to the opposite side where we were at so at that very moment patchy put two and two together and jump the opposite way from the bullfrog and that\’s how he learned how to jump and he used to jump all the time like I said before.-
I’m so sorry for your loss. I know it hurts. It’s been a long time since we lost our pup, Alex. We will never forget him. He was a good little boy.

Remember 4 years, 10 months agoThis is gangster he is my first full-blooded Pitbull I ever owned. Thanks to lymphoma cancer I lost them at the age of six back in 2017. He was such a mama\’s boy very sweet very affection my white shadow. Thanks to him he has totally changed my mind and how I see pitbulls also thanks to him I love the breed. He was so spoiled as well as patchy. I my boys so much they were like two peas in a pod in the next picture I will share would be patchy\’s picture. Gangster never had a mean bone in his body he act like he was Mr big and tough guy but once you got to know him or he got to know you he was just like butter he just melted in your hands. He had a heart of gold and he used to love playing with the next door neighbor\’s dog named Toby. Patchy didn\’t care for Toby but Toby would break out of the neighbor\’s yard come to our house just to play with gangster. So me and the neighbor would arrange play dates for gangster and Toby and when they got together it was like they were in their own little world. Gangster used to eat cheeseburgers plan and also will get doggy ice cream. But this one time I\’ll never forget I was drinking some coffee and I have put it down on the coffee table thinking nothing of it gangster decide he was going to help himself to the coffee when I tell you gangster became Sonic the hedgehog he was bouncing all over the place. And he didn\’t have a lot of coffee he only got like two licks of it cuz around that time I had walked back into the room where I had put my coffee. Gangster follow me no matter where I went through at the house. And I remember when gangster was a puppy his eyes were sky blue and I was hoping that they would have stayed that color to have an all white pitbull and blue eyes that would have been something. But unfortunately they changed and I was so mad that did not change the love I have for him. I miss gangster so much but the weird thing about this I have a white pitbull with brown spots her name is Pinky and she does so much stuff just like gangster would do. And in my heart there is nothing and nobody could tell me that he did not come back to me as her. -

Remember 4 years, 10 months agoMy Ellie was a beautiful Siberian Husky with Arctic Blue eyes. She came to me at about 1 1/2 years old. Her owner
couldn’t handle her physically or mentally. Huskys are a handful. She loved running and playing with my Maggie (boxer). She was brilliant mentally, talked to me in husky language and comforted me like none other could. She understood me and responded to me in kind. -

Remember 4 years, 10 months agoTeddy was an amazing dog/son. He was a true daddy’s boy. He came from a breeder who didn’t even bother to name him. He had an amazing 6 years with us and we miss him more than anything. His daddy is planning a tattoo with his ashes infused in the ink.-
You know, I see the resemblance – the smiles and happy faces. Was he the breed “Teddy”? I see the underbite, and know other “Teddy’s” . So doggone adorable. It’s just so hard, the parting. The tears come from somewhere we didn’t even know we had in us. I am so, so sorry for your having to say goodbye, and hope, know, you and “Bugs daddy” will find smiles with your memories one day, but it takes time. So please allow yourselves to grieve, and to share with us, and know Teddy Bugs would want you to be happy for your times together. You would want the same for him. Again, I am so very sorry, and so very happy you had such a meaningful love in your lives. Thank you again for sharing, and please, let us know how you are doing, and, if you get the tattoo, we absolutely want to see that. Hugs.
-
How sweet of you. Thank you! He was a Pekingese
-
Hmmph…He looks like a “teddy”, but then. we’re all related, aren’t we? What a darling boy.
-
Oh! And where is he getting the tattoo? One of his petting fingers?

Hi Jackie. What touching images you have shared. Thank you. Who are these darlings? We would love to hear about your lives together, and to know how you are doing, Jackie. Toni

That is boo I had him for 10 years but on Sept 10 he got out and went down by the side of the road and someone came speeding down the road and hit him and broke his neck 🥺they never slowed down. My mama had bought him for me when he was only 8weeks old. And on Sept the 20th my mom has been gone a year. I wouldn’t have made it this long without him. And now he is gone also
-
I am so very sorry. I, also, am suffering from this horrible pain of my Missy’s passing. She was 10 1/2 years and was by myself since she was 10 weejs old. May it help in some small way to know that he is with your Mom. Hugs and prayers.

I’m so sorry 😔 sending love and prayers your way. And thank you

Remember 4 years, 10 months agoIn memory of our little Alex (Mr. Alexander B) He was a joy during his 11 years with us. We loved him like our own child and will miss him forever.
-
Oh, I am so sorry, Jeanette. Alex WAS your child – that’s one of the reasons it hurts from so deep within when we say goodbye. They are dependent on us (and we them), they are probably nicer than other types of children :-), and we can share secrets and feelings we wouldn’t share with anyone else. It’s very painful to part. But, in our heads we know they are only on loan to us and we wouldn’t give up the time of loving and joy we shared. His ears are so adorable. He is so adorable. Thank you for sharing the charming pictures, and feel welcome to send more. And please feel welcome to continue to share your feelings – we understand and are here for you. I hope you find smile with your memories. Hugs. Toni
-
Thank you very much for your kind words and support. Alex has been gone for nearly 20 years but we miss him and still reminisce our time with him. We loved him so much and it truly hurt to let him go. We thought we could never have another fur baby until 3 years ago when we decided to get a puppy. He’s such a joy and makes us laugh daily. His character and temperament are different but we didn’t expect him to be the same as Alex. We love him like a child and he has brought closure to us. He will be 3 years old on September 25th. He’s our little baby.
-
Mr. Bojangles: “After twenty years he still grieved”. I totally get it because my sister’s most wonderful boy died over 20 years ago, and while she would love to share the joy and love of another, she just can’t face the pain of parting. It’s such an individual situation and accommodation, and capacity, that you never know – one day a sweet little thing will come into your path, and Boom! there ya’ go again – into a loving, fun relationship to treasure. All of my loves are still with me in my thoughts and memories, and spirit, and I am joyful for my current old girl – she’s really filled me up (and is sitting here with me right now). So, I am sorry for your loss, and happy for your gift of sharing again. Thank you for sharing with us. If you read other posts here in our community that move you to share, I hope you will. And….we want to see pictures and hear stories about your lives together !! 🙂

Thank you for sharing. My current fur baby has, recently, turned 3 years old. He’s so special to me. We’re so happy to have him in our lives.

Remember 4 years, 10 months agoMissing my girl Mama Dog. I loved and still do this sweet baby girl. She was with me for 12 years and she had a heart of gold.-
Raymond – may I say you both have the same expression in this picture :-)? Too sweet. Thank you for sharing this with us. It’s so terribly painful to part, isn’t it? Mama Dog was always there for you, no complaints, and just loved being with you…I have a few tears just thinking of how you must feel now. Doggone it – it’s so sad our beloved pets are only “on loan” to us. I don’t know what I can say to help you other than that, with your words and photo, you have touched me, and I am sure others in our caring community. I’ll be thinking of you, and hope you will share more pictures and stories about your life with Mama Dog, and if you want, send your own support to others who are grieving here. I am sending you my best, and hugs…….

Celebrate 4 years, 12 months agoAfter I lost my 15&1/2 year old dog, I was devastated and depressed. Amazing how friends come through for you. I was given my new fur baby, a maltipoo I renamed Harlee. She has been a godsend! Although I will never forget Ripley, I see so much of him in Harlee which not only makes me laugh, but makes me all the more happy thinking he’s part of her. It may be hard to replace a beloved pet, there are so many pups waiting to find their forever home. Don’t wait, just do it!!
-
Oh wow, Vivian – how touching and kind and lovely of you – and yes, you are right – we cannot “replace” a pet,, nor would we want to – but to open our hearts and homes to others with whom we can share love and kindness is so very uplifting ( for both), and healing, I am so happy you shared this and wonder if you will share some pictures of Ripley and Harlee with us? If not, that’s purrrrfectly okay …. we just like to know our furry friends better. You are one kind, caring person, and we are so glad to have you in our caring community. I look forward to hearing more 🙂

Remember 5 years, 2 months agoMy Hansi We lost him Dec 31st, 2020-
Maria-Catharina, Thank you for sharing your darling Hansi with us. Yep, you are right acknowledging it was best for him to peacefully pass, but darn it’s so, so hard to say goodbye. I am so sorry. His face is so sweet, and his personality really comes through. But, you wouldn’t want him to endure suffering, and he wants you to enjoy your life knowing he was, and is, an important part of your happiness. Please let us know how you are doing. Hugs….

Remember 5 years, 2 months agoMy sweet precious MuShu (14) walked over the Rainbow Bridge on April 14th. My heart is crushed 💔😭 Two years ago she got mammary gland cancer and I opted for surgery hoping it would give her many more years with me but it came back with a vengeance and took her precious life away. My life is forever changed for having that beautiful little girl in my life. She was my child and I will miss her every single day until I see her and my other cat TIGGER in Heaven.-
Oh Patty, yes, heartbroken, deep grief and sadness…..May I say that you did the very best for and by MuShu, and you can bet she knew everything you did was for her best, and from love. None of us get to stay in our bodies forever – but they stay in our hearts forever. Gosh, she was a beauty. Those eyes! I am sad and teary knowing she isn’t with you now. But Patty, you are a wonderful “cat mom” and MuShu wamts you to go forth and enjoy the rest of your life, one day perhaps open your home and heart to another love. Thank you for sharing your story and pictures. Please stay an active member of our caring community. Others need your kind words of understanding and support. And, we are here to support YOU as you move through this extremely difficult time. Hugs to you. Toni

Thank you so very much Toni for such kind words! I truly appreciate your beautiful message. I hope someday I can open my heart up to another precious fur baby that’s needs as much love as I do. Thank you again and may God forever bless you ♥️

Remember 5 years, 2 months agoThe 10th anniversary is coming up for my Tanner crossing the Rainbow Bridge. I’ve lost other furbabies, but this one knocked me into a severe depression. He crawled into mu lap looked at me with the “I love you mom.”, got comfortable on my lap and took his last breath. I wish I had some pics of him. : (
-
Cherie, Oh my how sweet and sad.,,,,I know exactly what you mean, and I think we all can admit that there are some loves that are deeper, stronger, more “connected” than others with our pets. We love them all, but there are special relationships with our furry friends, just as with our people friends – right? Some with whom we connect and resonate in a different, communicative way. Know what I mean?

Health Concerns 5 years, 2 months agoI may need to rehome some of my cats. Please show me how. This hurts. Will they be ok.? I may have to move n no one may want a senior with 7 cats n a dog. 🥺
-
Margaret, I am sorry you face such a difficult decision. I know it hurts terribly to be parted. Since you have to find new homes, here is a useful resource: Go to the “Find Services” tab at the top of this page; enter your zip code; use the drop-down menu to find Rescues & Shelters in your area. If you need more help, let me know. And please let us know what happens with your babies. They will be matched with loving homes, I am sure. Sending you my best wishes.
