Sabi, is Chopper watching TV? I know some pets take after us and watch things on TV. Any favorite shows of his? By the way, the Puppy Bowl is on TV before the Super Bowl ;-). I love that and he might like it, too. Thank you for the joy of seeing Chopper with the cool blanket. Please share more “Fun With Chopper” moments…

We’re a cartoon house and he my MAFS couch buddy since my bf hates the show🤣. And my ID channel buddy😂. The blanket came from biglots, part of the dream street collection(the kids/teen bedding) since I have a full size bed and absolutely love stars and astronomy.

Oh now, Bonnie…there can not be many cats that look like that – she is just stunning! The eyes, the color, the ‘catitude. I think she is very special. Thank you so much for these pictures. I want to join her fan club 🙂
-
She is special. I adopted her from a animal control center when she was 1 years old.
-
Bonnie, you made me laugh – a can of wet cat food for her birthday – that’s too cute. I take it she usually eats dry? I had a cat that literally walked in my door and adopted me, and she would only eat dry food. The vet said that was fine, and that cat (Chivo) lived a great, healthy life on the dry food. But you made me laugh. Thank you for that!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LILY!! Groundhog Day Eve – how cool. She’s really pretty. Is she a special breed, Bonnie?
-
No I don’t think so. I see cats that look just like her everywhere on the web.

Oh, she looks very special, and she is! Do you have more pictures of her we can see? What did she get for her birthday?

Remember 5 years, 6 months agoMy sweet Jane who crossed over the rainbow bridge this past October. Miss my girl so much !!-
Oh Kate, you bring me many sweet memories because your Jane reminds me very much of my Squirt, who was nineteen when we parted. She was what they called a “Long-Haired Torty” (for tortoise). Jane could be Squirt’s great, great, great….well, you get the idea. How old was Jane? How long were you together? Are you having more smiles than tears now? I know the tears and feelings come over you, but are you feeling better? Toni
-
Jane was only 11 years old . We adopted her when she was 2-3 years old . She was such a brave , strong kitty . She was my soulmate . She endured surgery to remove ear polyps , years ago and they found she had MRSA. Then about a year and a half ago , she had surgery to remove 2 mammary cancer spots . A few months before her passing we learned that the cancer metastasized to her lungs , and she was having trouble breathing . She then stopped eating . She was the greatest best friend , and always so gentle abs loving to her guinea pigs and bunny brother .
-
And I’m so sorry about your Squirt !!
-
Thank you Kate. Squirt was with me half my life and we went through everything together. She’s been gone a long time and I will always get happy, warm, loving feelings thinking of her. Jane was younger than Squirt and went through so much. You are a dear person to have given her such care. I am delighted you are part of our community and we would love to see Jane’s brothers – the guinea pigs and bunny brother. With pictures if possible 🙂
-
I am going to try to post some pictures of Jane and her siblings . I’m not seeing as how I can add pictures t my reply , so I might post them separately

Hi Kate. I see the picture of your sweet Jane and she reminds me of our precious Bella who we recently lost. We are still devastated. Our family and friends do not understand the love that my husband and I share for our kitties. The pain of loosing them never leaves us.

Oh my, wow, eight puppies …how adorable. Are they a certain breed? What happened to Loki? Was he the same breed? Do you have pictures of Loki, Cherry? You are so kind to share your sympathy with others here. It means so much to know other pet lovers understand the joys and sorrows. It’s just so hard to say good-bye…Please, tell us more and share puppy stories with us.

Remember 5 years, 6 months agoThis my puppy name Dolly Mae Madison. She was a minpin. I miss her so much.
-
Oh, Teresa…What happened to Dolly Mae? Was she only a year old? I have tears and am crushed for you both. You poor thing – please tell us about her and how we can help you. Toni
-
She jumped out of my Jeep. And hurt her knee caps in the back legs. I always told her to jump but that day she jumped wrong. She was get sick and throw up. I tried to get her fixed but it was going to cost 3,000-6,000 . No one would help me. So took her to the Dr. and he told me he couldn’t do the surgery. And the medicine I was giving her to stop the pain. Was hurting her then I know. So I had to make a choice . I had to put her down. It’s been hard for me because she was anxiety puppy. I miss her so much. I didn’t want to put her down.
-
Oh my goodness, Teresa, that is just so tragic and I am beyond sad for you and her. I am sorry it’s too late for you to know about Waggle.org – they help provide funding for medical care and just this week had an interview with them for our next Paw’d Cast. Oh dear. I am so, so sorry. What can we do to help you, Teresa?

Remember 5 years, 6 months agoI ordered this necklace/urn to remember Dexter. I think it\’s pretty cool-
Yes, that is very nice. I like to have a keepsake I can have with me, too. What other memorial items would you find comforting?
-
In my Jeep I have an engraved container with his ashes and a keychain with “In memory of my best friend “. I have them hanging from the rear view mirror
-
I wish I had told you about Memory Vessels, Chuck . They have two compartments for physical mementos like remains or fur, plus a USB Flash Drive to store photos of Dexter, all in one beautiful heart shaped, substantial piece. We also have beautiful hand blown glass pieces that have the remains integrated in the glass. Take a look through our Shop, or call me. Also, I want to ask you if fire departments provide window and door stickers that alert emergency responders to pets inside a building. I have one I got years ago and don’t know where I got it. How are you doing now? Toni

Remember 5 years, 6 months agoMy Beautiful Sapphire ,😢.-
I am deeply sorry for your loss.Rest in Peace beautiful Sapphire.
-
Oh thank you so much 😢 in November I discovered she was in advanced kidney failure. My sweet beautiful Sapphire was so sick and by the time I realized something was wrong 😣 the disease had done it’s horrific damage.
-
My Bessie, the Sheltie in my photos had a large tumor in her abdomen that I was unaware of.She is the love of my life and was 15.5 when she passed on April 16th.
-
Precious Bessie ♥️😘. My Sapphire would have been 10 in February. She was so tiny when I picked her from a litter of kittens I had to wait two weeks for her to come home with me. I got her as a companion when I was in the middle of a divorce and getting a apartment preparing for the new chapter of my life. How old was your Bessie when she came into your life? Sapphire loved cheetos cheese puffs, did your sweet Bessie have a favorite treat?
-
Bessie was just 1.5 years old when I adopted her.

I am sorry for all your losses. Our pets are dear to us. Tyson was a member of my family and it makes me feel better to know that he knew I loved him very much even if I wasn’t there when he passed.
-
Sapphire is such a pretty kitty. I am sad for you. Were there symptoms of her kidney failure? Something we should watch for? My cat Squirt, who was 19 when she died, loved cantaloupe! I’ve never had a cat other than Squirt who would even consider it. I haven’t tried Cheeto puffs on my cat, but she likes regular Cheetos, and Doritos, although she finds the Doritos a bit spicy for her taste :-).

Cindy, What a sweet picture. Thank you for sharing her with us. Is she a dachsund, or a mix? It really hasn’t been very long since you said goodbye to Malea DeLynn and I hope you are slowly finding your smiles in memory of her come more frequently than your tears? Please let us know how you are healing, and how we might support you.
-
Thank you..she was a dapple doxie and just the sweetest baby..we rescued her February 2012. They estimated she was around 4..it was love at first sight..we only had the joy of loving her for 4 years 9 months and 12 days..we lost her to CHF and enlarged heart..she also had a category 4/5 heart murmur and a mitral valve leak..she had been diagnosed a little over 2 years ago so between medicine and love I got to have her a little longer..I still cry every day for her..I miss her beyond words..I do smile when I look at her pictures and videos but my heart is so shattered..taking it a day at a time..
-
Cindy, our community member and friend, Chuck, lost his dog Dexter to CHF, too. Is there a way to diagnose it early, and can it be treated? And yes, one day, one moment, at a time. We never forget, but we do get to have the fun, loving memories one day.
-
Hers was discovered when I asked them to check her heart murmur before she got a vaccination and that’s when they did an x-ray that showed an enlarged heart..she was put on vetmedin which is an amazing medication..in January of 2020 she had an episode where she was panting so hard that I took her to a cardiologist and that’s when he diagnosed her with CHF on the left side of her heart and the mitral valve leak..he added lasix, enalapril and aldactone which made all the difference in her.. unfortunately she was in category C..but with medication and diet and love she survived for 7 more months..if they did heart transplants in animals I was willing to do that..she deserved all that I could do for her..you know that saying if live could have saved you she would still be here..she left paw prints all over my heart.
-
Cindy, Thank You so much for sharing these details. It may help others of us. Goodness – you really did all you could, and I hope you know that. I want to say more, but let’s check in tomorrow. I’m thinking of you, and would like to introduce you to @chuck, who is also a community member, whose dog, Dexter, also had CHF. Your sharing is so important and meaningful and helpful, Cindy. Thank you.

Celebrate 5 years, 6 months agoThis is Jack & Willow. Both are rescues. Willow(on right side) I just rescued in August 2020 after she was left behind after her ex owner moved. Jack was found on a farm in the winter of 2013 when windshields were extremely dangerous. The person that discovered him brought him to the vet and the vet called me as he knew I was looking for another pet. These 2 are my world. -

Bella was acting fine, then the next morning she was crying and her breathing was raspy and labored. She had urinated on herself. This was so unexpected. We had to help her cross Rainbow Bridge. We have lost so many wonderful
fur-babies. I lost my Soul mate Smokey. He was a beautiful male Russian Blue. We had him for 20 years. He truly was my soul mate, my heart. I love all of my kitties, but Smokey truly was my soul mate.
