I’m so sorry for your loss 😢
I lost mine to lung cancer and I didn’t even know he had cancer until that fateful day! Hugs

Aww she will adjust, they know more than we think they know.
I think mine was depressed for a bit after my friend had to send her baby across the bridge a year prior to mine. It’s like you leave the house with them and you come home without them.

It has been 9 weeks now since I lost my sweet baby boy, it is getting a little bit better but oh how I miss seeing him everywhere in the house.
At times I still can\’t believe that he is really gone. 😢💔🐕
        • Chris, when I said goodbye to my girl, I felt good knowing she was at peace. She was old and had become quite unwell. But, when I walked in the house the emptiness and reality hit me hard. It does take time and the pain lessens. Do you think it was best for him that he was not sick for long? Better than a drawn out illness? Ten years, a hundred…it’s never long enough. We never will forget them, and I am grateful for the time we shared, as I suspect you are. It’s good to hear your update and I hope you continue to let us know how you are doing. And thank you for so kindly sharing your own support with others. It’s why we are here. Please come to our next group meeting June 15th. It’s good to talk among understanding people. Sending you a {HUG}. Toni
          • What a sweet face he has! I know how you wait for them to show up where they used to be! When I would drive up to my house my cat Drew would welcome me. He could hear I was coming from the sound of my car! It’s been 3 years and I still for a split second expect him to sit there waiting for me. But now I think more about how cute and funny he was. And your boy is safe now, no aches or pains due to age or illness. Sometimes I think we are courageous to give our hearts away again and again because we know it’s not forever. But the time we have with them is precious and stays with us. All the memories and stories. I hope you have support to help heal your heart, a friend or your family. And you have this group. Talking about them helps. Sending good wishes!

I have been having a very hard time since I lost my baby to cancer 6 weeks ago.
It started with a strange cough at the first part of February and and ended with breathing problems at the middle of March. I really don\’t understand how this all happened and so fast.
He was only 10 1/2, I just really thought he would have lived at least several more years.
I had absolutely no idea he was THAT sick. I just really miss him so very much.
            • Chris, so sorry for your loss. It’s so hard to say goodbye to our fur babies especially when it happens so suddenly. Your boy is so cute and I know you loved him and did everything you could to help him. Sending you Hugs 🫂
              • Chris, I am so sorry. And I thank you for sharing this important information so we can all be aware of signs of trouble. We don’t get to choose how long our pets are with us, we only get to love on, and with, them for the time we are granted, which is never long enough, and we will love them forever. I am truly so sorry for your loss. Please join us May 18th for our group support meeting to share more. We’re here in our community for you, Chris. {{HUG}} Toni
