    This is the kitty I lit my candle for Toby Ryan my Russian Blue Boy! He lost the battle with pancreatic cancer ! My heart is still 💔

      I’m so sorry for your loss 😢
      I lost mine to lung cancer and I didn’t even know he had cancer until that fateful day! Hugs

          Rebecca, what a beautiful picture of Toby Ryan! And I am so sorry you lost him. I love it that the community is working: people who know what you are going through chiming in and letting you know you are not alone in your grief. It doesn’t bring anybody back but the pain of grief is so much harder to bear when you have to do it all alone. And many people don’t know the strong ties that connect us with our furry friends. Some even belittle or judge your grief. Not here. Please find comfort in this place that is created to hear you and to make space for your grief – AND stories about your beloveds quirks and joys and endearing habits. I love to see the photos that go with the names and I appreciate to get to know about this special friend. I love to read how people go through stages of grief, how they take courage from talking and remembering and being vulnerable by describing the pain and loss. I see that many stay with the community and write about healing and moving on without giving up what was so special about this love. This is a truly good place.

            Rebecca, you are an absolute angel, caring for so many over he years, knowing that saying goodbye takes a piece of you with each one. How kind and loving of you. It’s very hard but very rewarding, isn’t it? Pancreatic is one of the most dreaded cancers and I am so very soory for Toby Ryan, and for you. How long were you together? How did you meet? How many kitties do you have now? Are they missing Toby Ryan, too? As you read through the posts here, you’ll see that other pets in the household do indeed mourn the passing of a friend, too, and need extra loving, as do you, Rebecca. I am sending you a {{HUG}} and my sympathy. And gratitude for all you do for others. Toni

              Rebecca, I am so, so sorry for your loss 😞 From what I read, I see how loving and kind you have been to so many kitties, knowing full well that one day you would go through this horrible pain when they leave.
              I lost my boy in January and am still grieving so hard. I don’t know how people can go through this heartache over and over again. But, I thank goodness for people like you who help these poor fur babies.
