I probably don’t need to remind everyone to be careful Halloween weekend – no candy, especially chocolate and sugar-free.
Also, costumes can be cute to us but painful and/or dangerous for our pets. Aren’t they cute enough just as they are?💕
Strangers at the door can be frightful for pets, or they may try to run out an open door. It may be kind to keep skittish pets in a quiet, safe room away from the “action”.
Whatever you do this Halloween, I hope you and yours enjoy it🫠

Hallowwen costumes on pets are cute to us but can be painful and even dangerous for our pets. Cats are epecially sensitive to anything on their fur and skin.

What did you find out at the vet today, Suzanne? How is Kaylanee doing?

Hi Friends 😻🐶
I hope you and your pets are “weathering” this summer in good health and fine spirits.
I see people walking their dogs on hot pavement and want to ask them to walk on their bare feet to show them how uncomfortable it must be for their doggies. Instead I ask if the dog would like to walk on the grass. I suppose it’s not my business but I feel that animal welfare is everyone’s concern.
I was in Canada recently and not replying to your posts, which I will do. Please join our online group meeting Thursday Auguat 20th at 7PM Eastern. We need to catch up👍

The July Group Meeting will not be held this month but we will be here for you to share your stories, feelings, concerns and joys. We are ALWAYS here in our Community to listen and support you.
Please be weather wary for your pets. Extra hydration and ample shade are required in the heat, and quiet, safe places should be provided during storms. Enjoy your July and we will meet you August 20th for our group meeting. Toni

Happy Birthday America! Our pets may not be celebrating with the heat and firework noises.😨 If you can, protect them from both by keeping them cool and away from the noise. Lots of water, petting and a calming voice.
