A star was named for you Lulu..it’s right next to Mama Kiki. Now you both shall forever be in my heart. And in the sky.

Oh Maureen it makes my heart hurt. I wish you lived nextdoor so I could run and give you a hug. I don’t believe in coincidences either. Everything happens for a reason. There is a reason you met me. I’m not sure what that is but I was blessed in meeting you. Keep your chin up and know I’m always thinking of you. May you get plenty of hugs. Pretend they are from me.. Brony (I see a kitty outside, in the morning it’s there and goes to bed at dark. Watching over me. That’s the only explanation I could find)

Paula, Isis is waiting for you, you will always be reunited. The reward is to not see her in pain. If she had arms she would embrace you with a hug.,chin up and know you had someone that loved you too.

And I’m sending hugs right back. I’m glad today is over, it’s been a rough one for me too. When I sat at the table and looked out the window by the bush was a black and white cat. Well I thought there was a cat it was just lights playing tricks on my brain. When my friend came over she told me thàts where Lulu was buried. I never knew where she was, I didn’t want to know. Lulu was telling me it’s okay a black and white cat needs a home..I’m ok with it. I want you to be happy..I love you Lulu and I’ll never replace you. Ever……Maureen there is a higher power out there. Penny don’t feel alone. I was vacuuming this morning and found Lulu’s whisker. I was a mess all over again. I understand. I miss her tremendously. I have cried everyday for two weeks now. I really wish my heart would start healing. I can’t think of good times with her cause my smile isn’t around yet. At least you don’t have to worry about things getting out, it’s the bugs and lizards that will find their way in. Hear them? Nanananana. Keep your chin up.

I stand behind everything I say. Our babies want to feel our joy, not our sadness. Chin up.

Maureen, I know what you are feeling, I too keep running thru my mind her last moments. Let’s make a pack. You do your best and I’ll do my best. They wouldn’t want us in pain. We have a smile within us, it’s trying. I’ll be strong if you are.

Dianne June 4 was when I lost Lulu. My world came to a stop. Nebraska is where my mom was from. Only good things come from Nebraska.

Thank you Dianne, it’s so hard, it has been over two weeks and I still feel like it was the first day. I want to not feel the pain. I loved them both so much. Thanks for listening. I’m sorry for your loss too.

Today nothing new. Same ole thing, tears, tears and more tears. Lulu was my companion. I have no one to talk to, no purrs to greet me. My life is just empty..

Remember when I scratched your back right by you tail? You loved it so much you went plop right on the floor, and wanted more? I\’d do it again for hours if that meant I\’d have you back for a little while.
                            • Thank you for your kind words and generous contribution to Faithful Friends.
We exist to be a support for those of us who love and lose our beloved pets. We’ve all felt and had to deal with the pain that is like no other, and the empty places in our homes and hearts.
I try to share some exercises that may help us remember why we opened our hearts in the first place, and can help us honor our babies by recalling the many fun, funny and loving times we shared, not just the sadness and pain of saying goodbye.
Please keep posting in the Community. I see your note to Lulu here and encourage you to write more to her. And think what she might write to you – gratitude for your care and love.
If you can join our group the third Thursday of each month, we’d love to have you.
                              With purrs and hugs,
                              Toni

Mama Kitty was 18 when she left this world, and Lulu was just shy of 14 yrs. I will remember these two cats FOREVER.

Hi there, you wanted to learn about Lulu. Well she was an itty bitty thing that hid under my shed she wasn\’t more than 3or4 months. I had a little dog Phoebe and they became the best of friends. Well I know what a cat in heat looks like, and so does Phoebe. I got her spayed and shots and she couldn\’t wait to go home and join Phoebe out the cat door under the house to go potty. Lulu made me laugh all the time. She didn\’t like to be picked up and didn\’t sit to long for attention. You paid her to much attention she would slap you.. took me a long time to name her. I finally came up with the name Lulu. When she was almost a year my mom needed help and I had another feral cat that brought me her 3kittens. She was spayed and was stuck to me like glue. I had to choose 2 to go to moms, I choose Mama Kitty and Lulu. Phoebe got a home. Well I lived in a room, the cats were happy as long as I was there. Mama Kitty passed away about 5yrs ago, she was my heart, took me awhile to get over her, first cat I ever put down myself, I miss Dad he did all that for me. Well Lulu was lonely and she had been in that room for 8yrs. She started to really like me so I spent hours petting, playing, and talking to her. Well she got fat. I didn\’t mean to make her fat, she just loved eating. Now mom was gone so Lulu got the run of the house. She played outside as long as she could see me. Loved anything that wiggled or crawled, I know cause she would bring it in the house. She enjoyed the last 3years stayed in the yard or in the house behind the screen. It was there she met a stray, he stop by every few days and have a conversation with Lulu. All of a sudden days away from her 14birthday she quit eating and drinking and she was lethargic. 3 days and she was gone. I slept next to her under my mom\’s bed with a blanket on her. The sprinklers woke us up, I know she was awake cause she started purring. By the time I got back from the bathroom she was gone. As the life went out of her so did my life ended too. That\’s it I have no more animals. I was left all alone, no mom, no dad, and no pets. I\’m not sure what to do now. I miss her so much it breaks my heart. I will have another cat that needs me as much as I need it. A shelter pet that is spayed or neutered and about 2or3 years old. I just don\’t want to replace Lulu with another one. I\’m waiting to give my emotions some time. I all of a sudden start sobbing cause she\’s not here. The picture on the blanket was at the end of may 2023. And the picture was with her best friend.
                                  • Mama Kitty was 18 when she left this world, and Lulu was just shy of 14 yrs. I will remember these two cats FOREVER.
                                    • Brony, yes you will always carry them in your heart and thoughts. Please try to think of your times together like a ruler with each year being an inch. You had 18 and 14 inches of wonderful love, fun and joy, and just a half inch of them not being well. Take a memory from each of those inches and allow yourself to celebrate and be happy for them, and for you and the life you shared. Of course you cry and are broken in your heart and soul. That’s what deep love brings with goodbye, but you gave them their best life and I hope you find comfort knowing that. Our next group meeting is July 20th and I hope you join us. Until then, please keep us posted on how you are. Toni
