        Hi Toni,
I just wanted to apologize for leaving yesterday’s meeting so quickly. Also, w/o saying anything to you.
We eat dinner late, but, unfortunately we hadn’t at that point.
There are 3 of us that live here & my guy’s son has to go to bed early.
I already told him (his name is Tommy), in January, I’ll eat, after the meeting.
This way, hopefully, I’ll be able to be a part of the whole meeting.

How nice of you, Christina. Thank you for the best wishes. I hope you and yours have a holiday filled with love, and that Alvin brings you new memories to treasure as you hold June in your heart. I have a cold, too! Not Covid, thank goodness, but my kittens spent the day and night on the couch with me yesterday. That was so sweet. I hope you get to visit your family and that your holidays are bright💕Toni

Martha, your tree is gorgeous. And you did a purrrfect job painting the doggy ornament to look like Mitsy🙌🙌The holidays bring up memories of years past with Sheba and Raina, and while it is sad, I hope you also feel the warmth of the holidays you all enjoyed together. {HUGS}, Toni

Dana, what a deep insight – that you are now able to more fully open your heart to Lexie Loo Who. Don’t you think Grunt-Grunt would be happy for you both? I am delighted for you, and I am sorry for this first year without Grunt-Grunt in your home. She is still, and always, in your heart 💔

Katrina, you have said it so well – Ruby is not in pain now, but it hurts, especially this first year without her. For every pang of loss, I hope you van think of a happy time with Ruby, and that you find some comfort there. Toni

Lucy is SO CUTE! Comfy, fun bed :-). Brony, you are welcome to join us this evening (at 7PM Eastern) if you’d like to talk about Lulu, and Lucy. The first of anything is very difficult. I am so happy Lucy is bringing you such joy. Toni

Lexie Loo Who’s personality is coming out more and more everyday. It is such a joy to watch her grow in confidence. It’s funny, she will bark at us if we talk in bed for more than a minute or so. I’m grateful that she has started to wake us up if she has to go during the night. I finally found a groomer that I really like after trying 3 others. I have noticed that I’m still grieving strongly for Grunt-Grunt, but am finally able to fully accept Lexie Loo Who into my heart.

We are preparing for our annual family Christmas Eve party. While we are busy I often think of my girls. Although I have new girls this year deeply miss my Sheba and Raina. I tried to get the annual Christmas tree picture which proved difficult. I picked out an ornament for Mitsy, they had nothing that quite fit her, so I found a plain white dog and tried to color it to match her.

This will be my first Christmas without June. She was 20 when I lost her on June 9. Miss her everyday. Watching her chase the paper we threw at her was so much fun until she curled up and went to sleep with a smile on her face. Sending hugs and all the best in 2024…

                                    • Hi Toni, Hope you are over your cold. We are still struggling with our colds. Woke up with sore throats. We had a wonderful Christmas visiting my side of the family. Hubby called his brother and Aunt as this is the first Christmas without his Mom. Alvin had fun and I thought about June a lot as well as my other fur babies. I wrote to June today too-Dec 29/23. Hope everyone is good and all the best in 2024.
                                      • Christina, thank you for the update. Your family has been through a lot this year and I hope the new year brings you many good things 🤗My cold is long gone and I am sorry yours are lingering. The holidays can be stressful and maybe now you can slow down and get some rest. It’s wonderful that you write to June regularly. She, and your others are always in your heart and writing is a lovely way to stay connected 💜I am sending you my best wishes for a fabulous 2024🎉Toni
                                        • Good Morning and Happy New year to everyone here. I hope and pray that everyone has a great New Year and all the best in 2024. May all the memories of you fur babies are good ones.

I understand how you are feeling, Katrina. I am so sorry for your loss of Ruby. I lost my Romeo in January right after the holidays and this whole year has been filled with all the ‘firsts’ without him. Now Christmas is here and he is not. It’s so sad. I wish there was visiting hours too. Sending you hugs.

I feel you Katrina, I lost Lulu in June 23. The first Christmas without Lulu, but the beginning with Lucy. I miss Lulu had her for 13 years, she became a habit. I hope to have Lucy for many years. She will become my habit. (Ruby was the name of my grandma. A great name.)
