What a charmer, Jody. I can see lots of fun personality in Tazz. Yes, it IS hard, very hard, to say goodbye to such a dear and neloved friend. How long were you together? I try to remember the wonderful times we shared to help remind me that are pets are only on loan to us, never for long enough, but what joys we were gifted with. Please let us know how you are doing, Jody. {HUG} Toni

Thanks, Toni, for the kind words and the HUG! It was a tough day, but I did look at pictures and remembered the reasons why I took the pictures. That helped a lot! -

So sorry for you loss. It is heartbreaking 💔 you did all you could possibly do for Tipper. You’ve been through a lot of grief over the last several years. You sound like an amazing, loving and kind person. I don’t know what is worse; watching them fail over years dealing with illness ans suffering or watching them just suddenly die not knowing why. That’s what happened to me with my boy, Romeo recently. Yes, he was 14.5, but, he was still going strong and a healthy boy for his age (said his Vet). I knew he was aging, but,6 I thought I would have more time with him to give him the last best days of his life before I would help him over the Rainbow Bridge by holding his hand and kissing and loving on him and telling him how much I loved him and what a good boy he is and out of all….thank him for coming into my life and saving me. But, no matter how they pass, in the end, they leave us with shattered hearts 💔

Sue, it’s impossible not to acknowledge the anniversaries of our parting, and I hope you have fond memories of all the birthdays you celebrated together, too. I bet you miss him each day, and hope you are finding more smiles with your memories. Anniversaries are tough and I am thinking of you with sympathy. Here is a {{HUG}} I hope helps a bit. Toni -

Oh Denesha, what a sweet face, and those eyes, Ellie had. Our other pets absolutely do mourn alongside us. Saying goodbye has a huge impact on the household. Can you give Archie some of Ellie’s things, blanket, bed, toys, that he can be near? Sharing lots of love together can help you all move through this extremely sad, painful time. I hope you find some comfort in remembering the many years of joy and love you shared. Keep us posted on how you and Archie are doing. Sending you each a {{BIG HUG}}. Toni -

In our community we care and share as we anticipate, prepare for and experience the death of a beloved pet. This is Walter. He will be 15 in June. Walter has a mass on his intestine and I am closely monitoring him for signs of distress, lack of eating, vomiting, etc. It is heartbreaking to know he is failing and I don\’t want him to suffer. We\’re taking things day by day. This is the anticipatory and preparedness stage – the part of pet love and loss we dread but move through, hoping to remember the many good times we were gifted with. If you are in a similar phase with your pet, we are here for you, to support you. You can share with us.Toni -

His name is Archie. He does a few things she used to. He takes some food from his bowl and walks away to eat then goes back for more. -

I am so sorry, Jane. What a little doll. How did you meet Sophie? How long were you together? How are you holding up? It hasn’t been very long. Our next group support meeting is May 18th if you would like to join us to talk about Sophie. Toni -

Barbara, what a kind, caring and generous person your are to care so well and so much for so many. Our candles are little kisses of light we send to not only pay tribute, but to celebrate the joyful times of love we shared with our beloved pets. I hope we all find comfort and smiles with those memories as we journey through the pain of grieving. How magnificent of you to open your home and heart to Apache Princess. I adopt older pets, too, and it is not easy to help them through their end of life, but it is so rewarding to provide loving, comfortable senior years, isn’t it? You are a hero and and angel. Thank you so much for being a part of our caring community. We look forward to hearing more about Apache Princess and are here for you with sympathy and understanding. {{HUGE HUGS} to you. Toni -
