My forever furbaby Chanella!! I love and miss her every minute of every day 💓🐾

Susan, When you think of Chanella now, do you have more smiles than tears? Every loss hurts in a different way and some are harder than others. Take your time with it, and let us know how you are doing.-
Hi Toni!! Yesterday was 15 months since Chanella tragically passed.. Most days are very hard, the guilt is overwhelming..
-
Susan, If i forgot, I apologize, but what happened with Chanella that causes you such guilt?

Got a new puppy. Her name is Dixie and she\’s a doxipoo. She\’s really filling up the void Dexter left. Thank you everyone for being there-
Oh Chuck, you’re making me smile so hard seeing this little face. She obviously is happy with you and is just pouring love out of her. You are kind and generous to open your home and heart again. We want to see more of Dixie, watch her grow and learn, and know how you both are doing. Thank you for being a part of our community. Here’s a HUG for Dixie ๐
-
Hi Chuck. More Dixie pics, please. What’s she up to?

I would love a memorial to my Bessie. She is always my best friend.-
It’s nice, and I know how important a memorial is, Dianne. It can really help heal. Just click the “Memorials” tab at the top of this page. We have to charge a very nominal fee of $29./year to help offset our cost. You may share anything you want about Bessie, as many photos as you like, and keep adding as often as you want. Please let me know if you need any help. Hugs.
-
Hi Dianne. Do you need help with your memorial for Bessie? If so, let me know. I hope you are doing well.

For those of you who recently lost a precious four legged baby,I am deeply sorry for your loss.I lost my best friend who was 15&1/2 who passed away 1 year ago on April 16th and I truly understand your heartache.
-
Thank you for sharing your sympathy and support, Dianne. Our community doesn’t work without, well, our community members. We recently opened our memorials area and I wonder if a memorial to Bessie would be a healing place for you to keep her memories, that you can visit and update, and know it’s always there for you. I’ll be writing more about the healing help memorials can provide, but one major benefit is to have a place just for Bessie so you can open your heart to more joys and loves. You are so kind to care for and about others who are hurting. That means so much. I’m happy to hear from you, Dianne.

It\’s been a little past 3 months since I said goodbye to my buddy Dexter. Yesterday we got Dixie. She\’s a doxipoo and pure terror lol she\’s filling the emptiness I\’d been feeling since January. I still miss my little boy every day but memories are now with a smile instead of a tear. Thanks everyone for being there-
Chuck! I am so glad to hear from you. I think of you and am delighted you opened your heart and home to Dixie. Oh my, what a little doll she is :-). That face! Daniella posted a picture of her Sedona, and I think Dixie and Sedona both have the sweetest little faces. I can’t say how happy I am to have you update us, Chuck. Dexter is always with you and I am sure he is delighted you are sharing your love with Dixie. Thank you for introducing her, and please yell us more, and share your adventures. By the way, how old is Dixie?
-
Oh, Chuck, since you said goodbye to Dexter, we have opened our “Memorials” section if you would like to share your stories and pictures in a more permanent way. Toni

Good morning Everyone. Sorry I have not been on lately, but I lost my two 16-year-old cats back to back. One I had to put to sleep just before Christmas, and the other one I had to put to sleep in February. I had six cats all together, and lost each and everyone, every year for the past six years. My heart has been heavy with loss. I did adopt a black lab name of Syrus, and another cat named is Hex. They have become the joy of my life. They are best friends, and cannot live without one another. When I take my Syrus to my nieces house, or my friend who loves Syrus takes her to her house, Hex keeps watch outside of my patio doors. When Syrus comes home, he is waiting at the door for him. Hex also likes my friend a lot and she likes him a lot. I know that if anything happens to me, she would take good care of them. Syrus and Hex have helped me a lot during my grief.-
I am so sorry for your loss. I am going through a grieving process with my dog that I lost four days ago her name was Baby she was a beagle. She would of been 11 in three months, she did not make it. I am so lost for words. I am so emotional and having a hard time with the pain of losing her. I miss her and love her so much. It is going to be tough for awhile.

Sorry, Toni, I have just seen this!
I just posted something on the REMEMBER site. and lit a candle for Jolie.
YES!!!! we still have Libby and she has settled in nicely with us. I JUST WISH she would navigate the stairs to the bedroom and outside by herself. SHE IS GETTING HEAVY for me to carry up and down. she scoots down and up the deck stairs to the backyard like a CHAMP. but not the other stairs. Have to figure out how to train her to do the steps by herself!
other than that she has become our little girl. But Jolie is still remembered when we say goodnight and at other times of the day.
keep in touch!!! -

Remember 5 years, 4 months agoWell, since Jolie went to rainbow bridge(July 22, 2020) it was extremely lonely around here. My wife thinks I may have been suffering depression since our girl passed on. I have been retired since 2012. And Jolie has been our companion since that time. We rescued her from my brother in law who thought that his cigarettes and booze was more important than Jolie\’s health and well-being. When he went into NYC housing he was not allowed to bring Jolie. So we took ownership. We had to lay out over $3k in dental and shots and health. The vet said that had we not taken ownership Jolie would have certainly died within months!! Jolie was my constant companion and we had fun. Kidney and liver problems began their attack a year before they took her. I could see her health dwindling and when it came time to let her go I COULD NOT. I probably caused her suffering. I WAS SELFISH!! I couldnt let her go. But a week before we put her down it became obvious that we had to put her down(My eyes are still welling up even now!!! We say goodnight to her every single night since she passed.
BUT HAPPINESS FOUND US ON DECMBER 9, 2020!!! A breeder friend had an 8 year old schnauzer that she was giving away free. She thought of us and brought LIBBY(a mini schnauzer) by and we took ownership of LIBBY. She was an AKC champion for many years and had many pups that became champions. She has taken to us and we have taken to her. She just recently started sleeping in our bed. she has the cutest and funny bark-heave-bark. She wont take place of Jolie but she has become a loving family member. A JOY TO HAVE AROUND and keep me company!!!
I do not have any of Libby\’s pics on my office computer. I probably have 1000s on my phone. I will send one when I transfer them here.
BUT THANK GOD for Libby!!!! Jolie sent a beautiful pet to replace her in our home!!!-
I am SO happy for you and Libby. You are the opposite of selfish – you keep your heart and home open for new life and love. There is never an easy way or time to say goodbye and you did your loving best for Jolie. My old girl (cat) has been living with a progressive inflammatory disease, has high blood pressure and hyper-thyroidism. Twice, I thought it was time to part and both times the doctor said no, she has some good time left in her, which she has :-). So I know, and we all know, it can be very difficult to tell when letting them go is truly their time. It’s always a decision made from love. When you get around to sharing pictures of Libby, we love seeing them. Stay in touch and let us know what you and Libby get up to!
