I’ve tried 2x to post this update on Kaylanee let’s hope 3x is a charm. 😺Took Kaylanee for her recheck apt., on Friday 9/4. The vet thought it was as in Kaylanee’s best interest at the moment to keep her on the nausea and prednisone meds, since they seem to be helping her. I was told the nausea meds don’t have any side effects. She agreed that the daily gabapentin was no longer necessary as I told her I didn’t think she was in pain. I will revisit these two meds and there continued use at her annual in March of 2027, unless we end up at the vet before that appointment, pray not! I will however continue to give her the Gabapentin when we travel to NH. Since she’s been on the nausea meds she hasn’t vomited except hairballs 2x, which I’m giving her hairball jell for that. She had gone back to eating the dry and wet Biome food but has started again refusing to eat it. So I’ve been giving her Purina pro plan sensitive skin and stomach dry and just ordered 4 different flavors of the same canned version, through Petsmart that I’ll pick up tomorrow. While I’d prefer she’d eat the Biome, I just want/need her to eat. I will continue, when I have time to offer her the Biome, but I don’t always have time to change out food when she chooses to not eat it on any given day. Thanks for everyone’s prayers and words of encouragement for my Kaylanee it’s greatly appreciated. Picture of my little burrito girl when I have to give her meds. I try to make it a positive experience each time by offering treats before and after and giving her head scratches while she’s all swaddled in the towel but she’s having none of that. View
