    I lost my best friend 6 days ago. I\’m lost, there\’s a huge hole in my heart.
    • Oh Susan, I know. I said goodbye to my beloved Beauty Girl three weeks ago tomorrow, and I know the pain that comes from a cellular level….. Buddy was soooo cute, and thank you for sharing his picture. We’d love to see more. I know I have hundreds of my girl and it’s hard to pick just one to express the many moods and expressions and joys…. It helped me so much to hold and pet a stuffed cat my Mother gave me years ago. Perhaps you would find comfort in that. We also provide “Cuddle Clones” – exact replicas of our pets: https://www.faithfulfriends.com/shop/landing/
      I swear, the morning after we parted the pain was so intense, I didn’t know how I’d get through it, and the stuffed animal really, truly gave me comfort. I had a photo of her made into a 16″ X 20″ canvas portrait, and that really shows all of her best features, and also brings me joy and comfort: https://www.faithfulfriends.com/shop/pet-poster/
      Susan, I am sincerely not trying to ‘sell’ you but sharing with you things that help me. It’s why our caring community exists – to understand and support one another during and through this most terrible of times. I hope knowing we care helps you, and I hope you share more with us. I will be thinking of you with sympathy and am sending you {{HUGS}} Toni
      • Oh, Susan, your little furbaby was so precious. I am so sorry for your loss. May you feel the comfort and how much we all care My little, Maltese Missy has been gone since August. I am still so lost without her company. Originally, I had said no more furbabies. However, I have come to realize that I need to find another baby to rescue. I have found a couple that I thought would work, but, others had applied ahead of me, so I did not get. I have to believe that God will provide me with the right furbaby when the time is right.
        • Martha, you are so right – I said goodbye to my darling Feb. 24th and this week I got custody of a sweet, smart, big healthy young boy. A friends’ mother is unwell and when she returns home, I may have to give him back, but he’s brought me great joy and company. It’s helping me move through my grief. I thought I wasn’t “ready” for a new love, but I was wrong! I really hope he gets to stay with me, and I’ll keep everyone posted on developments. • Your baby was so precious. I’m so sorry that you’re dealing with this grief. Please remember that between hello and goodbye there was so much love. Don’t be afraid to rescue a deserving dog, not to replace your lost furbaby, but to help you heal. Sending you prayers for peace for your soul, healing thoughts 🙏💭🙏💭🙏💭 and many Pug hugs from my senior rescue Pug Grunt-Grunt and myself. Lean on the people here. Toni is phenomenal when it comes to support. She’s amazing.
            • How kind of you, Dana, but you, and everyone in our caring community understanding and sharing are the reasons we exist. I’ve said it before – you are an eloquent and heartfelt writer and your support really means a lot. I was not looking for another lover right now when my friend called and I have ‘Boots’, at least for awhile :-). He has certainly cheered me, warmed my heart, and helped me move through the sadness and grief of losing my Beauty Girl. Pets and other life forms are truly amazing! Thank you, Dana, for being such a lovely part of Faithful Friends. {{Toni}}
