Hi Toni, I want to thank you for all your kind words to me and everyone here. Even after 3 years, I miss my Romeo so, so much. I come here and read all the sad stories and my heart breaks. I remember the day I lost Romeo and all the feelings I had and wish I could take away their pain.

Brony, she is so cute….I love the way she is laying. She is really relaxed. I think she trusts her new environment and feels safe. So happy for both of you xx

Hi Toni, I have been watching videos about rescue groups and also shelters. Sometimes watching about the shelter dogs makes me sad because of the conditions they are living in. I want to go to my local shelter to see if I can get a cuddle in, but, I am allergic to shedding animals and have that concern. But, I do think I need to go somewhere to visit these poor babies. I would love to be able to sit with a scared baby and tell them it will be okay, but, like I said, I have allergies. I think maybe, ‘just take a allergy pill and do it Maureen’ 🤷
I still can’t think of ever getting another dog. My age and health are concerns. But, being around them might give me the joy I so miss.
I want to let you know that I have a hard time connecting with this site and I will try to get in on one of the group meetings soon. I would love to meet all of you. Meanwhile, I will continue my support of others whenever I can.

Good morning Toni. Thank you for checking in with me. I am still taking things one day at a time. Some days are better than others. It has been 8 months now since I lost Romeo and I just don’t know where the time has gone. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever been through and I am still so heartbroken. I know there are so many others suffering the loss of their fur babies too and my heart breaks for them, as well.

So sorry for your loss of Buddy 💔 I know the pain you are feeling and it is gut wrenching. It is heartbreaking when we lose our fur babies. Buddy is still with you and will be forever. Hugs and peace to you 💔 😔 -

I am so sorry for your loss of Kiara 💔 Saying goodbye to our fur babies is never easy and losing them so young is even harder, I would think. She was too young to go over the Rainbow Bridge. So sad 😞

Hi Toni, I have been writing messages to Romeo. I have a memorial page and I post my feelings and talk to him. Right now that’s very comforting for me.
I am definitely crawling along like everyone here.

Pam, I ammso sorry for your loss of Andy 💔 I know how heartbreaking losing our fur babies is and I wish there was something I could say to ease your pain. It’s been almost 8 months since I lost my boy and I am still grieving hard. Youre right, this is the hardest thing to go through.

Hi Toni, thank you for reaching out to me. I am still having a rough time for the most part, but there are times where I am better. I guess there really is no choice but to go on. I don’t think I will ever get over losing Romeo. The days just drone on and now it is almost 8 months since he left. It is so hard to believe he has been gone that long and that in itself makes me so, so sad. It is finally hitting me little by little that he is never coming home and I will never see him again. That is still so hard to face right now. I know time is supposed to soften and help with grief so there’s that.
I have compassion for others who are going through a loss and I think it does bring me some comfort to say something kind to them. Losing a fur baby can be worse than losing a human in some cases and I have to say that is the case for me. I am lost and broken right now and I feel for others who are experiencing the same and I want to help ease their sorrow in some small way if I can.

Hi Catherine, I am so sorry for your loss of Taj 💔 Losing our fur babies is the most heartbreaking thing to go through . I understand your pain and I wish there was a simple answer to how to go on after losing them, but there isn’t. I lost my Romeo 7 months ago and I’m still gutted and cry everyday. I just take it one day at a time. That’s all we can do. I wish you peace at this very sad time.

Marilyn, I am sorry for your loss of Bandit 💔 I understand what you mean about Bandit being you faithful companion and being your world. My Romeo was the same for me and saved my life too. He came as a gift to me when I was at a very low time in my life and just wanted to die. Please take care of yourself. Peace be with you. Sending you hugs 💔 -

Stacey, I know the feeling of coming home and nobody us there to greet us. It’s the worst. I lost my Romeo in January and we were together 24/7. It is still hard for me to leave the house but worse to come home because he’s not there. I dont know if or when I will get over that. This grief is hard.
