This is Addie & her sister Mira. Mira lives with my parents. The other picture, is their parents Ava & Otto (Now both gone💞🐾🌈)
    • Melinda, how nice of you to take the time to share your beautiful family with us. Thank you.🤗. It is so very hard, sad and heartbreaking to love so much and so deeply, then have to say goodbye. But as we know in our heads, every leaf falls from the tree – we all pass one day and make way for new life – but in our hearts, we are broken. 💔. I hope you will continue to share with us and, if you see a post, or posts, that touch you, that you will extend your own sympathy and understanding to others in our community. It means so much. I am, we are, thinking of you. {BIG HUGS}} Toni
      • What beautiful dogs they are. 💔

        To Toni:
This is that family pic I was telling you about. Otto is on the couch. Their daughter Addie is to the right of Ava.

I guess I have to post the pic separate.

Yes, Ava was Addie’s mom. She is pictured with me in the profile pic. I lit a candle for her about a year ago, under Ava Nika. Otto is also Addie’s dad. They had her and her sister Mira, that lives with my parents, accidentally, shortly after we rescued Ava. We kept them. This is a good family pic that I took. Only one of two. Otto is on the couch and Addie, is to the right of Ava

I lost my boy Otto two weeks ago to kidney failure, and bleeding in his abdomen. It\’s been hard wrapping my head around why my boy is gone. He seemed happy and healthy one week, and the next week he was dying. He was two and a half months shy of his 13 birthday. I guess, at least my Otto and my girl Ava are together again. She is the black German Shepherd, I lost two years ago. I still have her daughter Addie. She will be 10 in October already. I feel like I\’m slowly losing my family. My youngest is an almost 8 siberian husky named Brinley. He has issues with his thyroid. I put in for a candle for Otto. 🥺💞🐾
            • Melinda, I am so sorry. It’s shocking to have a rapid decline in health – it doesn’t give us time to prepare ourselves, not that anticipating is easy, but at least we know something is coming. So Otto and Ava knew each other? And Ava was Addie’s mother. You truly were a Family and yes, this is very difficult, losing two of them now. Again, I am so sorry. Even though we know, in our heads, that one day we will have to say goodbye, in our hearts and souls, we are broken 💔 Please light a candle for Ava, too. We’d love to see her, and here more about Ava and Otto, and we’d love to share happy times with Addie. We’re here for you Melinda, so stay in touch with us. {{BIG HUGS}} Toni

These babies are my children. It is a joy and gift to have them in my life. They keep me going and put a daily smile on my face. Each one has such a character all their own. So sweet and sensitive, especially my husky Brinley.

                    • OH MY DAWG … What fabulous pups, Melinda. I can see so much personality in their eyes. It’s so good of you to share your home and heart, so good for YOU to have them in your life. This is just wonderful, and thank you for sharing their stories and photos. We always like more :-). Don’t tell anyone, but we’ll be asking for cute costumes in October … just sayin’…Toni

Mira and Addie are two of Ava’s (whom I lost a year ago in April. She is the all black one in the picture) daughters. They will be 9 in October. Otto is the father. He is my first shepherd. He will be 12 in November. Brinley is another rescue, just like Ava. He will be approximately 7 in September. I don’t really have any info on him. His Gotcha Day is his birthday. September 19th.

So sorry for your tremendous loss. Love, prayers and peace in this difficult time.💖🐾🙏
I lost my four legged daughter Ava a year ago this last April. She was a rescue and my shadow for eight years. Rescued her at three and passed at age 11. She was a sweet, loving sensitive soul. So missed and always loved and remembered.Hold onto all the wonderful memories you have of her for comfort. I had no children, so I understand about her being your child. Mine is that for me also.

This was my Ava Nika. She was born on July 28, 2009. She passed away April 21, 2021. She was a rescue of severe neglect and abuse. She was my shadow for eight years. A loving, sweet, and sensitive soul. She lives on in her daughter\’s Addie and Mira. She was a best friend to talk to, a snack and tv buddy. Once she found out what it was to be loved and how to play and be a dog, she thrived on play time, car rides and walks. She is so missed and loved, but will always be remembered, especially on her birthday. Her love, loyalty, and dedication will never be forgotten. She was and will always be my Princess. Thanks for adding her. This candle means a lot.💖🐾😊
