This is Katie. She is actually a foster dog for our rescue. Although I am feeling that she will be a foster failure and we will adopt her ourselves.

They get along GREAT! Meli Jo is the Staffie and she has always been the nanny dog for all of the 4 legged and 2 legged members of the family. Hope is the brindle Pittie mix and she has a bit of alpha female attitude but she finally learned that I am the alpha female not her. LOL Leo is the black lab and he is a gentle giant. Hope and Leo both came to us within 3 months of each other and both were puppies at the time. They are great friends and playmates. Maddie is the dachshund and she came to us at 6.5 weeks old. All of them accepted her very well. She and Leo are big buddies. Ollie is the chi mix and he came to us last February. They all love him! He and Maddie are close in age and now we have number 6, Katie is a chi/terrier mix and is the same age as Ollie. She just came last week and she is transitioning well into the pack.

Ahhh Does Katie look like Satchmo from my video? We are pretty sure he is a RatChi (vet mentioned) but we want to know for sure! I think there’s a hair test

Yes and we LOVE it! have you ever been up there?
-
Awesome! I’ve never been canoeing up there though it’s on the bucket list. We have a cabin at the Lake of the Woods (very “tip” of MN, probably about 4 hours NW of Ely) and I spent a week canoeing up there a while back. Tons of fun – camped out on a different island every night and there’s some very cool scenery, rock formations, etc. to see once you venture into the Canadian side of the lake. If you and your husband ever wanted to “mix it up” next time you’re visiting the land of 10,000 lakes, you may really enjoy it up there… especially if you like to fish. Hard to beat fresh walleye ๐

Hi Toni! That photo was taken on one of the lakes in Ely, Minneosta on the Boundary Waters. It is one of our favorite places to vacation. I wish we lived there but my husband says he could not take the winters there. I would love it!! Our fur kids did not get to go with us on that trip. Thank you for the wonderful welcomes to the group. I am excited to participate.

I thought that looked like Minnesota! Do you canoe there while you’re visiting?

Hi Sean!
Thank you for the warm welcome!!

Sorry it took so long for me to respond – I just moved back into my remodeled home. I would find it extremely difficult to let a foster go. Maybe I could be trained after 10 or 15 pets :-). I admire you and others who share this generous opportunity to have a loving home while waiting for a Forever Home. Good for you Jill!
Jill, do you have any information on your rescue? We’d love to get a page going on here at Faithfulfriends regarding your rescue!
