Hi Toni I would like to thank you for the support when I lost midnight it’s still very hard I miss him so much .but I feel like he sent me a angel I was going to the store when someone dumped a little kitten that was only a month old and had a injury to his leg so I had to bottle feed him and take care of his leg and that has helped me a lot so even though I miss midnight he is helping my heart heal

Dolly, I can’t tell you how much it touches me to hear from you, and with such a sweet story of salvation for your little bitty kitty friend :-)..Midnight is probably grinning from ear to ear for you both, don’t you think? Oh boy – what are you calling him? May we see pictures of him, and Midnight (I don’t see any of Midnight). It’s easy to upload photos – just click on the camera icon in the lower left of the “comment” area. Of course, you don’t have to, but I love to see pictures – they do tell stories. Dolly, I know you carry the pain of loss, but what a nice, caring, loving person you are to bring this new love into your life. I bet he will sleep with you, too, and help you find joy, and remember Midnight with smiles, knowing while he is always with you, you get to share more love, again, with someone who really needed you when you needed him – don’t you think? Thank you for updating us and being a wonderful, caring part of our community. Sending hugs to you BOTH ……. -
That is so sweet. God works in mysterious ways and maybe he had a little help!

Hello I’m doing a little better but I’m still having a hard time not having midnight with me I feel like I’m just going through the motions of life I don’t feel any joy at all

Well, right now maybe you are not supposed to feel joy. Deep grief and loss over run most other feelings so it is important that you go straight through those. I promise you – there is a time you will find smiles before tears. When that comes is not scheduled. It evolves. So Dolly, move through the motions as well as you can, with grace and kindness to yourself. Midnight would be wishing you the joyful memories of your lives together and wanting you to be happy for those times. But, it hurts, I know. I am shedding tears for you, Dolly. Not for your lives together, but for your parting. I wish I could hug you, so instead, here is a virtual HUG….

Dolly, I do understand and know most of us in our community do …. this is a depth of loss that cuts deep and long. But we all know, in our heads, the love we shared is timeless. And some day we will have smiles before tears. It’s getting there that is so very hard.

I’m just trying to get though each day it’s so hard when you lose a fur baby yes he was black and was my baby for 14 years he’s been with me though some hard times and good times he was my little sleeping buddy I’m so lost without him-
Oh how awful. I feel your pain – my cat sleeps tucked under my chin, and twice in the past two months I was sure I was losing her. The pain is so deep… My last cat was with me for nineteen years – literally half my life – and we went through so many ups and downs, trauma and drama together – I truly understand what you mean and are feeling. But, you must have shared a lot of really good times, lots of petting and loving, and it’s just a shame their lifetimes are a portion of ours, but you shared a great life together, didn’t you? Midnight was, and will always be, your love and buddy, and would want you to be happy for your times together. Please, Dolly, let us know how you are doing. I will be thinking of you, with love…
