Oh my, I had to enlarge the picture to see how fabulous the fur is. And those eyes! Is this a special breed? Looks like you groom a lot. Any particular tools you like? I have friends who use a Furminator on their long-hairs but I find the teeth pretty sharp and when I cat-sit for them, am very gentle when grooming.-
That photo had to be taken a few years ago. No, actually I don’t groom him enough. My little fur baby doesn’t like being combed or brushed. He’s a biter. My sister has to help me with him. I use the regular brushes & combs for cats. Plus I have the Furminater de- shedder for long hair on him, short hair one for the other. I do have the Furminater de- matter, I don’t like that one.
-
Yep, those tools can be harsh. I have a grooming glove but it doesn’t really work. I have a small brush with metal prongs and gently groom my cat. But the very best we enjoy is slightly moist hands. If you can, will you send some more pictures, please? I think he is so gorgeous.

Celebrate 5 years, 6 months agoMu darlings are Boo, Reglisse, Midnight, Bebe, Raven and Toshi. They are all beautiful in their own way.-
Wow! They are adorable. Do they get along well?
-
Hi Cody. They really do get along. They all play together etc. Hisses every once in awhile usually aimed at the baby Boo cause he has no manners lol. But other than that its idyllic.

Lisa, I adore you – how wonderful of you to have six fabulous, furry friends. Mine is black and I am happy to see she is in good company. Tell us more and share more pics, please ๐ Toni

Celebrate 5 years, 6 months agoMy family and I lost our furbaby in a horrific way..Toby was attacked and killed by another dog while going for a walk. The emptiness was too much to bear. Exactly 3 weeks after Toby passed we got another dog. We named him Shiloh..Tobys\’ middle name ๐ We didn\’t get Shiloh to replace Toby, he will forever be in our hearts-
Oh, Tammy, I am shaken by what happened to Toby. How horrible. But how lovely for Shiloh to come into your lives. Of course no one “replaces” another, but rather opens our hearts to even more loving relations with other loving friends. You are kind and generous to give Shiloh a place in your home.. I hope to see more pictures and stories about your life with Shiloh. Thank you for sharing with us.

Remember 5 years, 6 months agoStill grieving over the loss of my baby, Frankie on Oct 12, 2020. He was 13 and suffering from kidney failure. I am still crying every day. I miss him so much. My heart feels like it will never mend. This has been my hardest loss ever, and I am 60 yrs old and have lost many loved pets. He was like my child.💔 -

Celebrate 5 years, 6 months agoIll introduce parker there in photo.. had him 12 yrs and I had to nake hardest decision on 01/29/2021 it was to put him sleep.. he was never sick or show signs of sickness 2 weeks prior to the 29th he had a knot come up he couldn\’t pee. Gave him antibiotics and he could but then the 2nd week he passed all blood n urine and took him to vet in valdosta ga great place by the way.. but they told me prostate cancer had came on him and kidney stones we tried all there was to save my fur baby but he had seizure on 28th so I had to let him kno how great he was and he will not suffer no more that he had been my best friend and was there for me so I was there for him he was tired to i think he didn\’t wont to suffer i sure did not wont him to… but parker I miss u so much fly high boy my heart is void till we meet again…-
That is an adorable photo of Parker. Thanks for sharing. I’m thinking of you, Angela. It’s so tough but we are here for each other.
-
Angela, you did the most selfless thing by relieving Parker of pain and suffering. As a pet parent/friend, that’s one of our obligations in caring and loving for them – to not let them suffer. It is excruciating to make that decision, and you made it to benefit Parker. That doesn’t make it easier for you, I know, but it may bring you comfort to know Parker knew you loved him in helping him. Please let us know how you are doing, and when you can smile with Parker’s memories before you cry.
-
Knowing that you did the absolute best thing for Parker by letting him go doesn’t make it hurt any less. I am so sorry for your loss, his love for you will always be with you. Always.

Oh wow – beautiful. “Ebony and Ivory”… Thank you for this, Sheryl. It’s so nice to see them. How long have they been together?
-
2 years they are sisters
-
Wow – they are like my sister and me – she’s blonde, blue-eyed, and I’m brunette, brown eyes. Don’t have the same coloring, but couldn’t be closer !

Remember 5 years, 6 months agoOh how I miss my precious Angel, and her and my little buddy Gabriel that followed her 4 days later. Angel was the best of my heart and Gabriel my clown and trouble instigator that could turn a frown into a day of laughter.
Angel Jan 2006 -Dec 15, 2020, Gabriel Sept 2005 – Dec 19, 2020-
Elizabeth, what a lovely tribute you have made to Angel and Gabriel. I feel as if I know them each a bit with what you wrote. Did something happen that they both passed within four days? I see they lived full lives, and that shows how much, and well, you cared for them. Thank you for sharing with us. I hope you continue to share stories and photos, and if you can, reach out to others in our community who can use some kind words. Toni

Hi Toni, Angel had a stroke about 5 months prior to Dec 15. It went from bad to worse as she then started having violent seizures which caused her ability to walk, caused her to lose her sight. I had her on homeopathic belladonna right after the first seizures, and for a little while it seemed to straighten her out some before she took a nose dive and lost her sight. I had to decide what was best for her, and I just could not see my beautiful, vibrant Angel girl suffering anymore from the seizures, so confused because she could not see, unable to get around without my help, and she was not only my best friend, and my mobility service dog, she was the VERY beat of my heart. Her and Gabriel had never been apart from the time he was 4 months old and she was 6 weeks, so he lost all will to live without her, and the night he passed, I had been cuddling him on my bed, he wanted down, acted like he wanted to potty and he could use the potty pads, so I put him In the floor which he…

Remember 5 years, 6 months agoProsper was a leonburger who got bit by a snake. We found out too late ☹️

Julie, how tragic. I am so very sorry. Will you share the story, and let us know how you are. I am not familiar with “Leonburger” – do you have pictures of Prosper, or can you tell us about that breed?

This isn’t him of course but it’s the spitting image of him.-
Julie, Thank you so much for the images of Leonbergers. What beautiful dogs. Are you aware of any particular challenges or ailments for their breed? Many larger dogs have hip problems, etc.
