Hi everyone, just letting everyone here know that my husband and I will be heading to Toronto on Saturday morning as his Mom is not well and she may have 2 weeks to live maybe less. It has been hard for my husband as we live in Calgary Alberta Canada 🇨🇦. Really hoping he gets to see her before she passes.
My hugs and prayers go out to all who have lost their fur babies.
    I still miss my June…
    Bless everyone here
    ❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗

  • my wonderful husband bought me these beautiful roses and the top of one of them fell off so I it in a glass that our June use to drink out of. They smell so wonderful.
    • The flowers are beautiful, Christina. Your husband is a dream :-). Why don’t both of you join our group on Thursday Oct. 19th so we can hear more about your darling little June. {{HUGS}} Toni

Hi Toni, yes I still write to June…it comforts me so I don’t forget about her… my Husband and I were talking about her the other day and I just started crying….Aaron says it’s because I had her the longest and she was born on my birthday…as for my migraines, my next treatment (Botox) I get on October 20th and they do help. My back is much better too. I am able to move around better. Hubby helps out a lot too.

              Sorry for your loss…🤗🤗🤗
              • this is a photo that my sister took of June when she came up for a visit. I am still missing her. I was telling my husband I miss my other fur babies I lost, she was with me the longest. Aaron ( my Husband) said it’s still new too and fresh. I give all my hugs to all here lost their fur babies. 🤗🤗🤗
                • Aww that is a great photo.
                  • Thank you Cody. Hope all is going good with you.
                    • Cheistina, how are your migraines? Does the Botox help? My aunt gets shots every three months, too, and finds reief. Is your back better? Sadness and grief take a lot out of us and can contribute to physical pains. Conversely, joy and happiness can increase our energy and help us heal. Are you still writing notes to June? Have you noticed your messages are getting a bit happier with your memories? Have you tried writing what June would want to say to you? I bet she’d be all happy and grateful for your love and care, and would want you to be happy for having her in your life. It’s good to hear from you and I hope you will let us know how you are coming along. {{BIG HUGS}}Toni

I have also been trying to find work. Hurt my back, still healing from that, the migraines are bad at times too. Hope everyone is doing good here…
                            • Doing ok, besides missing June, it’s been 3months and 3 days since she left us. I still see her, we still talk about her. I even started writing letters to her. Not every day, but just moments where I am missing her the most. It’s quite not having her here…

Sorry for your loss, happy that your other fur baby is there with you helping you cope with this loss and grief. Bless you
                                • Sorry I haven’t responded in a while, been going through a lot. Still missing June. Seeing and reading about so many people losing their fur babies, my heart goes out to all of you…🤗🤗🤗

                                  • Hi Christina. I am glad to hear from you and am sorry you have been going through whatever it has been. Does that add to your migraines? Stress and grief do that. It’s understandable that you are missing June – it hasn’t been very long since you said goodbye, especially after twenty years of love together. Heck, I still think of my Squirt who died in the ’90’s and get choked up. Our love never goes away. What we CAN do to help heal is let our minds take charge rather than our hearts, to remind us that our pets are only ‘on loan’ to us, and that while we are graced with their company we have shared the gift of lives well lived in love. Take all the time you need, continue to share with us here, and know we undertsand and care. Here is a {{BIG HUG} for you. Toni

                                                • Hi Christina, I am so sorry for your loss of June 💔 I know how hard it is to lose our fur baby. I am still struggling over the loss of my Romeo even though it’s been 6 months. Life is so painful and sad without them. Take care.
                                                  Sending you comforting hugs 💔

                                                    • June sure was a cutie, Christina, and she will always be with you in many ways, especially after sharing 20 wonderful years together. It just hasn’t been very long since you parted and the pain of parting is still raw. But do you find you are able to have more and more happy, good memories each day? Ouch – migraines. That is so tough and I am so sorry you suffer those. Have you tried Botox? I know a few people who benefit, and some who don’t. Worth a try? We meet online each month and perhaps you can join us August 17rh. I think you will find comfort and encouragement with our very kind and understanding group. Christina, please continue to keep us in your loop. We are here for you. Toni

                                                        • You are fortunate to fund some relief from the treatments, Christina. Migraines are brutal. June knew when you were unwell, when you were happy, and that you loved her back. That’s a huge hole left in your life and heart. I hope you can add one happy, fun or funny memory to your thoughts each day until you are finding smiles before your tears with her memories. We’ll walk that path with you. Toni

I saw June come into the world, then I saw her leave the world. She was 20. Everywhere I look I am hoping she will be there. There is a spot on the couch I made a tent for her to sleep in. The hardest part was taking it down. I have re-purposed her scratching post into a plant stand too. I so miss her.
                                                            • Twenty – how special for you both to share a life of love.And how very difficult it is having empty places in your home, and your heart. I am so very sorry, Christina. I find it odd and sad to walk into my house and not have my little darling come running to greet (or yell at) me. I really do use my “ruler” exercise as a way of rethinking: Each inch = 1 year. You and June had 20 “inches” of joy and love, fun and funny times, and just a short bit at the end that was not so good. Now you are adjusting as best you can to a totally new way of living in a completely changed home. It’s hard. I am so glad to have you share with us and hope you’ll join our group meeting July 20th. Links are under “Events”. Until then, please keep us posted and know we are here for you. {{Toni}}

                                                                • Good luck with the job hunting. Any special field in which you are looking? Maybe someone here has ideas. June was a real darling and I can really relate to how deep your relationship was after so many years. I had my Squirt for 19 years. We met when I was 23 and she died when I was 42. We went through many life events together and she was my best friend. It is terribly hard to say goodbye but boy, what a joy to share so many years together. I found a stuffed toy helped me get through the night after each of my losses. Perhaps you can find something like that. And yes, please do join our group if you can. It’s very kind, understanding and helpful. I am sending you a {BIG HUG}. Toni
