Sorry I haven’t checked in for a while. Been keep busy with my new fur baby Alvin. Found out that he has Inflammatory Bowel Disease. He is on Hydrolyzed Protein food. Its dry food and I am hoping to find wet food that I can give him that will help him from not bringing up his food. He is 7 and will be 8 in July. He is a fun loving kitty too. View

Twenty – how special for you both to share a life of love.And how very difficult it is having empty places in your home, and your heart. I am so very sorry, Christina. I find it odd and sad to walk into my house and not have my little darling come running to greet (or yell at) me. I really do use my “ruler” exercise as a way of rethinking: Each inch = 1 year. You and June had 20 “inches” of joy and love, fun and funny times, and just a short bit at the end that was not so good. Now you are adjusting as best you can to a totally new way of living in a completely changed home. It’s hard. I am so glad to have you share with us and hope you’ll join our group meeting July 20th. Links are under “Events”. Until then, please keep us posted and know we are here for you. {{Toni}}
Hi Toni thank you for your kind words. Sorry for your loss. I will try and get into the group on July 20th . Looking for work at the moment too.
Good luck with the job hunting. Any special field in which you are looking? Maybe someone here has ideas. June was a real darling and I can really relate to how deep your relationship was after so many years. I had my Squirt for 19 years. We met when I was 23 and she died when I was 42. We went through many life events together and she was my best friend. It is terribly hard to say goodbye but boy, what a joy to share so many years together. I found a stuffed toy helped me get through the night after each of my losses. Perhaps you can find something like that. And yes, please do join our group if you can. It’s very kind, understanding and helpful. I am sending you a {BIG HUG}. Toni
