I have 3 cats now and one dog my cats are angel Mittens and Christmas. The dog name is meme. I lost 4 special pets 3 cats Tiffany Garfield and snowball. One dog sparky. I am fine just found out that mittens is anemic had a rough few days she is doing better now

Wow, that’s a lot. I had three cats at one time and it worked out great If you have one, why not more, right? What do you do for Mitten’s anemia? What caused that, do you know? I am sorry about Tiffany, Garfield, Snowball and Sparky, but it sounds like they had a loving, wonderful mom in you, Carol. If you would show us some photos of any of your pets, we always enjoy seeing them. And please, share what you can about anemia so we can all be aware. Thank you! Toni

Chuck, this is so good to hear. And, it’s so nice of you to let us know how a “bad” thing can bring good feelings. That’s really important and helpful to everyone. We know when we first bring a furry friend into our lives that they are “on loan” to us and one sad day, we will bid them adieu. And we know we wouldn’t have missed a moment of joy and love with them, and that they enjoyed their life with us. Bravo, Chuck. When you bring your new puppy home, please…you must share that joy with us. Hugs, Toni-
I don’t know why I didn’t think of this earlier, but I was concerned about you bringing your baby home. We have a Find Services tab, and by entering your zip code and using the drop-down menu to find Rescues & Shelters, you may be able to find a puppy there. No sorry no pictures .caine has been gone many years now and Shannon to but she was my mom’s dog,and lost her early in life,so when she passed so did her dog.

Hi Toni. Trooper and Kasey were my lifesavers after my divorce. I had been unable to have children and truly had noone. Kasey was a beautiful Shetland Sheepdog I bought as a puppy and he was silly and sweet. About 5 years later, I learned about a 3 yr old German Shepherd that had failed the state police academy because he was too docile. I had never owned a large dog so wasn’t sure I was doing the right thing, but it turned out to be the best decision I ever made. He was gentle, fiercely loyal and protective, and Kasey and him became instant buddies. These 2 saw me through some very dark days and their fur soaked up alot of tears. Kasey passed the day after Christmas in 2015 at the age of 14 and Trooper passed in 2017 at the age of 15. I’ve since adopted other dogs, but Kasey and Trooper hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for letting me share a little of my story.

Oh Dianna, that is a very sweet and special story. Thank you for sharing it with us. It illustrates how our pets truly are Faithful friends, stand with, and by, us through times good, bad and otherwise. My cat, Squirt, and I were together for 19 years and went through some major life events together. She was always there for me. It doesn’t mean we don’t love all of our pets, but those who share big, very meaningful, times with us do have a special place in out hearts and memories. I am glad you are in our community and hope you will find some time to lend a caring word to others. Toni

This is fantastic news! Those Schnauzers are so compact, they do weigh a lot. Try carrying her for a few blocks – great workout :-). Will you share some pictures of Libby with us, please? I’m excited for you all.-

As hard as it’s going to be, I want him home. I’m ready for a new puppy. Is it too soon? They will never replace Dexter in my heart but will fill the emptiness

Thank you Toni, that is Buster. German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mixed. I miss both of them so much.-
When did you part from them? May I ask what happened? I think it’s helpful 1. to talk about it 2. to help the others of us learn. Karen, are you doing kind things for yourself, I hope? I know you hurt, but hope you are able to find smiles among the tears.
