-
My Beautiful furbaby passed away last Dec 12th/2020 he was sick 😪im still missing him.i can’t stop crying😪😭😭cant forget him!
-
Oh Sweetie, I know exactly what you mean – the tears just don’t seem to stop…. I think they come from a deep well within us…And you won’t forget him – and one day you will find yourself smiling before you cry, and little by little…the tears will bring comfort, not express pain. I am so glad you are here among understanding friends, and I want you to feel welcome to keep sharing with us…Again, I am so sorry…Toni

@jeanette Hello Jeanette, and please accept my sympathies for Raven and Fluffy. I wonder what type of pets they were? Was raven black? Fluffy long-haired? Do you have pictures we can share, and stories you can tell us about them? Are you doing okay?

@coocoo Hi Nicky. I see your tribute to Lucky and want to extend my sympathy for your loss. What kind of pet was Lucky? May we see some pictures and hear something about Lucky? And you, how are you doing?

Oh, Teresa…What happened to Dolly Mae? Was she only a year old? I have tears and am crushed for you both. You poor thing – please tell us about her and how we can help you. Toni-
She jumped out of my Jeep. And hurt her knee caps in the back legs. I always told her to jump but that day she jumped wrong. She was get sick and throw up. I tried to get her fixed but it was going to cost 3,000-6,000 . No one would help me. So took her to the Dr. and he told me he couldn’t do the surgery. And the medicine I was giving her to stop the pain. Was hurting her then I know. So I had to make a choice . I had to put her down. It’s been hard for me because she was anxiety puppy. I miss her so much. I didn’t want to put her down.
-
Oh my goodness, Teresa, that is just so tragic and I am beyond sad for you and her. I am sorry it’s too late for you to know about Waggle.org – they help provide funding for medical care and just this week had an interview with them for our next Paw’d Cast. Oh dear. I am so, so sorry. What can we do to help you, Teresa?

Felecia, we see a lot of CHF in dogs talked about here, and it is very helpful of you to post about heart worms. Doctors have preventive meds or treatments for that, don’t they? (There are several shelters, clinics and other providers with the name Faithful Friends, and we interact with them all – but this is not a rescue or hospital – we are an online community for pets and the people who love them. Our “FIND SERVICES” tab will help locate facilities in your area.) Felecia, you are an angel to bring these loving pets into your home, and especially your heart. We know going in they are only “on loan” to us, and it is absolutely devastating when we have to part from them. Your generosity of spirit is not lost on them and they carry a piece of you with them. I am so sorry for your losses, so happy to get to know you. Thank you for being a part of our caring community. Toni-
Hi Toni
I meant with the heart worms is these dogs that I adopted and fostered were heart worm positive when Delaware Faithful Friends rescued them from their deplorable conditions lol. They are a no kill shelter. Yes they treated these babies for their heart worms but both had pretty significant damage when they helped them. There is heartworm prevention but the owners would give that to them. These babes were straysThank you for your kind words… they were fabulous part of my family. Love them like they were my children. And thank u for this support group xoxoxoxox

Felecia, This is a hard story to hear, but it’s not unusual. I think people want to provide the best for their pets, but for any number of reasons, can’t, don’t or won’t. Rescues and shelters are so wonderful, and people like you who adopt from, and support them are more than wonderful..Will you one day invite another faithful friend into your home and heart?
-
Thank you so much for your kindness… Of course I would take in another baby… I have my eye on this poor baby that is 17 years old – came from Louisiana to a shelter in West Chester PA – I have to contact them and see if they allow out of state fosters.. I know no kill shelters do their best and are awesome with all the furbabies.. but it breaks my heart to know she is 17 and best for her to be in a comfortable home… ๐
-
How wonderful of you, Felecia. I hope it works out for you both. Let us know, and if you find out about out of state requirements or other information, please share that with us. I’m pretty sure adoptions are done all the time, but you raise a good question about Fostering out of state…..

I am glad you are okay, Erin. We used to put hats on our cat Tiger, but I can’t say he liked it :-). I’ve not heard of a girl named Maxwell and LOVE that! My cat now is also very Zen – the vets all say what a good girl she is… Do you have pets now? -

@tiggergirl569 Hello Erin, I see your tributes to Nikki and Maxwell, and am sorry for your losses. Please tell us about them, maybe share some photos, and let us know how you are.

Im doing okay. Nikki was my little girly girl. She loved being dressed up, and also loved to have her nails painted. Maxwell was my zen baby. She was the calmest cat nothing ever ruffled her. She also would start purring as soon i walked into the room and said high to her.

Yes, that is very nice. I like to have a keepsake I can have with me, too. What other memorial items would you find comforting?-
In my Jeep I have an engraved container with his ashes and a keychain with “In memory of my best friend “. I have them hanging from the rear view mirror
-
I wish I had told you about Memory Vessels, Chuck . They have two compartments for physical mementos like remains or fur, plus a USB Flash Drive to store photos of Dexter, all in one beautiful heart shaped, substantial piece. We also have beautiful hand blown glass pieces that have the remains integrated in the glass. Take a look through our Shop, or call me. Also, I want to ask you if fire departments provide window and door stickers that alert emergency responders to pets inside a building. I have one I got years ago and don’t know where I got it. How are you doing now? Toni

Dear Belinda, nothing you do is “wrong”. Getting rid of the house or any other of Peanut’s things makes sense to me. I find grief ebbs and flows – some little thing, like looking out the window, can trigger big emotions. Stay in touch with us here – we understand your pain and are here to support you.-
Thank you very much.I didnt think getting reid of the dog house was no ones business but mine what I decide to.We had destoryed the bottom half of the dog house and took the top and placed over him with his toys. The woman next door lost her dog the same day I lost Peanut. So she buried her dog next to Peanut cause they was neighbors and friends.

Cody, Thank you for sharing this. It seems we are hearing about more recalls, which is good for consumers, but makes me worry about some of the dangers. -
