Abbie was a Lab/ Dobbie mix. I got her when she was 4 months old and had a wonderful 15 1/2 years with her. She was and still is my baby. I could not have been more blessed to have that time with her. My heart is 💔 and I miss her so much. Thank you for asking about her and thank you for your condolences. It’s hard, but I’m trying.

Whoa! How too totally cool are you, Patricia? I absolutely adore seeing the pictures and again, thank you for sharing them. You have some lofty cat names and I really like them. Did Artimus stop sleeping on your back after he was fixed? If not, where did he sleep? Do you think the procedure changed his habit? I’m surprised by this because I would think “fixing” a cat would make them even more cuddly.??? Hmmm…Patricia, I hope you keep us updated with pictures of you kitties and share your thoughts with us. Glad to have you with us 🙂-
Unfortunately he did stop sleeping on my back (he would still do it, but not as much). He would sleep right next to me. I think that it did.

Patricia, What gorgeous cats Artimus and Cleopatra were. Their names befit them – so regal. When I see these pictures of our beloved pets, I feel as if I know a little piece of them. So, thank you for sharing them with us. Will you tell us about them – their personalities, how you met…just anything that you like. And Patricia, how are you doing? Do you have pets now?-
Before I got Artimus fixed he used to sleep on my back at night. He was a real snuggler and lap cat. Cleopatra was a little miss prissy. Artimus was born and raised in my old house. Cleopatra was given to me by my mom’s boss’ old housekeeper.
I currently have 3 male kitties. From youngest to oldest: Tuxedo Patronus (2, Black & White), Frisky (4, Light Orange Tabby), and Tiger (12, Dark Brown Tabby).

Yes, Carrie, it hurts like heck but the happy and loving times are not to ne traded. Right? A friend of mine reminds me that our beloved pets are only on loan to us – and aren’t we the lucky ones? Mr. Tinkles was surely lucky to have YOU! I hope you know that. Please let us know how you are, and Carrie, if you are so moved, lend your kind support to others in our community who need some support. It really does mean a lot to know we’re not alone in our sadness…. -

Oh Jill, it’s okay to be this way. No, Gizmo was your dear, beloved friend with whom you communicated and shared so much – I understand. We really talk and understand, and are best friends. The love is very deep and sincere. It can’t be evaluated or replaced. I don’t know when any of us are supposed to die, but we all do. What I DO know is that any of us who are loved, and share love, have lived really good, fulfilled lives. You and Gizmo will always have that love. One day I think you will be smiling with Gizmo’s memory. That’s what Gizmo would want, as you would want from others thinking of you – right? So please, allow yourself to grieve, and allow yourself to be happy for your time together with Gizmo. I am sending you a BIG HUG and want to hear from you again soon, Jill.-

Thank you. I don’t care who says that pets are not family I know they are. I wasn’t ready to get another kitten but I was thinking of Babydoll Gizmos sister. I didn’t want her to go and be lost and hide somewhere and die. So we found Bella. Lil stinker in more ways than one.

Kimberly, I have the same picture thing with my pets – I don’t have digital images of some of them and have taken photos of their pictures on my phone, which are sort of okay, but not the same quality. But, the depth of love and joy remain, so the memories are strong. Thank you for sharing with us. If you like, your kind, caring sentiments to others in our community mean a lot if you’ll share those, too. Glad to have you with us, and I look forward to hearing more from you about Bear and Lady. And other pet loves in your life 🙂 -

OH MY GOODNESS! What a special treat to see these pictures. Thank you so much for sharing them with us, Tashawna. Wow-from a little wet thing to a fluffy kitten. That’s so magical. How nice of you to foster this little one. I’m betting you end up being a doting Aunt :-). Please, send us pictures of Ryu regularly so he can grow up with us. Does Ryu mean something? How did he get his name? I am just tickled…..-
I have no clue what Ryu means but I helped pick it out of a lineup with my sister 😄. I’ll keep you guys updated. Next week he’s going to be on gruel so I’ll have to show you guys the mess he makes as he transitions to a bowl.-
