Oh no, Melinda. Oh my no…. I am so sorry for poor little Isabella. And for you. My youngest was nine months and I still feel so bad, and sad, but glad for the brief time together. I’m keeping you in my thoughts, and hope you will become an active part of our caring community. If there is anything with which we can help, please let us know. We have helpful articles in our Library, and relationships with organizations that support pets. Please, accept my HUG for you…

It was very caring of you to get help for Lorenzo, Marlena. That is so hard and never what we want to do, but for his sake, you did a loving thing. I am so sorry about Felix and just don’t understand why anyone would deliberately hurt an animal. We’ve had several people in our community with poisoned pets and it simply makes me angry and very sad. Our Library has helpful articles about household poisons like anti-freeze. There is a wonderful organization that tries to provide payment for veterinary care – Waggle.org. You can listen to our Paw’d Cast interview with their founder by clicking the microphone icon on the right side of this page, and find a link to them in the “Giving Back” section at the bottom of our page. Please let us know how you are doing. We’re thinking of you.

@marlena Hello Marlena, and welcome. Please tell us about Felix and Lorenzo, and if you like, share some pictures. Are you doing okay, Marlena?

                      • I’m ok Lorenzo is an old cat of mind I ended up having to surrender over to the APL in Ohio because it was around lockdown out hear Lorenzo got really sick wouldn’t eat wouldn’t drink I was out of a job at the time and was tight on money well long story short I gave him over to the APL to save his life they did a vet saw Lorenzo and he got the care he needed and lives with a new family but he’s alive and well but me giving him away killed me inside. Felix was another cat of mine very close to Lorenzo like brothers they went everywhere together. Well Felix passed away he was poisened to death I didn’t know what was going on with him at the time he won’t eat drink play or do anything just lay around and stair off into space well I did make a vet appointment he died on my bed two hours before his vet apmmtment.

No, Jill, you know your tears come from a place deep within and it’s not a choice – it’s strong emotion. Dramatic? Yeah, okay, it is, but it’s not made up. it’s real. Real drama stems from deep emotion. So go ahead and move through your feelings. We get it – we’re here for you, Jill.
                            • Thank you. I don’t care who says that pets are not family I know they are. I wasn’t ready to get another kitten but I was thinking of Babydoll Gizmos sister. I didn’t want her to go and be lost and hide somewhere and die. So we found Bella. Lil stinker in more ways than one.

I’ve just written this little poem. It may be stupid, but we get to be stupid, sad, happy, whatever – here in our community.

                              Here it is:

How empty the home, the heart, and the hearth
When our beloved padded feet wander away…..

Oh Nellie, I am so sorry and of course you miss Tiger dearly – you were together through so many things and were always there for each other. There is no replacement for that kind of love and support, but with time, in time, perhaps you will open your heart and home to another love. Please share more about Tiger and your lives together, and know we are here for you.

Patricia, it’s interesting that Artimus changed his sleeping habit but I have heard of that. It could be the temperature, or any number of things to change it. I have a friend whose cat always slept on her feet, but when they got their third cat, she started sleeping elsewhere on the bed. Hmmmm….

Rebecca, you and Daisy were lucky to have many loving years together, and it is just heartbreaking to say goodbye. I am very sorry for your loss. I have tried to figure out what Daisy’s costume is and am sorry but … what is the hat? Her eyes are very expressive and full of intelligence and kindness. I wish we could both pet her again…. Here is my HUG for you…Please Rebecca, let us know how you are.

What a sweet girl, Teresa. When we’ve been together so long, through so many life events together, the loss of their company and love IS so very hard. Her face is kind, and she sort of looks like a lion in this picture ! May we see some more photos, please? I am truly saddened and sorry for your parting. And happy for the many years you enjoyed together. Stay with us and let us know how you are doing, Teresa.
