Dianne, you are doing what you can for her. I’m not sure why a vet wouldn’t see an older pet – that’s new to me. Let us know what you find out. And let’s hope it’s good news ! We’ll be waiting to hear. -

Glenda, it’s so hard to read this because I said goodbye to my girl in February (she was almost 18) and there is such an emptiness after so many wonderful times together. It’s a shame our pets are only “on loan” to us but in your head you know she lived a full life – in you heart there is never enough time together. Do you have other cats with you now? If so, I hope they are helping you, and you are helping them through their grief, too. Bubbles was fortunate to be healthy and not suffering. And you are fortunate to have such a special love. It hurts from a place deep within, and it takes time for the happy memories to supersede the pain of parting, but you will find smiles before tears. It’s cute that she liked vegetables – my dad always said “we like vegetables, why wouldn’t they?”. It’s heartbreaking to come home and not have her there to greet you. – my girl was always there and gave me loving when I came in. That’s a hard blow and I am just so sorry you are going through this. But, we are here for you and want to hear from you soon and often to let us know how you are coming along. (I had a minor surgery this week and couldn’t respond to you sooner, but will now when you next write). Know I am thinking of you. Toni -

You cry as much and as long as the tears come, Lori. They are from so deep within they need to come out. You have all had a lot of tremendous loss. If you don’t let out your pain, it will still be in there, so please share it with us (joy shared is joy doubled, grief shared is grief halved), and let Rocky receive and give you his love. Tara, what a wonderful profile. Beautiful. Jadakae – what does that name mean? Is this a boy or girl? Even though you had eleven wonderful years together, it’s never enough, is it? Oh, what a story these pictures tell….the friendship, comfort and joy. You and Bentley are no doubt suffering the very deep pain of loss, Susan. It comes from deep within, and the one thing I can think of that helps you is having each other. When my Beauty Girl died in February, I found comfort with a stuffed toy. And posting a lasting Memorial for her. My heart hurts with and for you both, and I think you will find, with time, it gets easier to think of Duke, an I hope you find smiles before tears. Thank you for sharing the pictures. They have brought tears to my eyes, as I am sure they have to others of us who understand, and are so very sorry. Please stay with us, and let us know how you and Bentley are coming along. And please, share my {{HUG}} with Bentley. Toni -

Laurie, what a charming picture of Amanda. Thank you for sharing it with us. Amanda was probably a better “Facebooker” than most :-)…. I am so sorry for your parting. Are you doing okay? If you read some of my posts here, you know I said goodbye to my Beauty Girl in February (you can read her memorial here: https://www.faithfulfriends.com/memorials/ ) and within a few weeks a friend needed a home for a wonderful two year old who has brightened my world and lifted my spirits. So, I hope you are alright, I know the grief comes from deep within, and you are safe here and welcome to share all of your feelings. We understand and care. And I hope you find joy in memories of your life ad love with Amanda. We are glad you are with us. Here is a {{HUG}} for you. Toni -

Oh Kimberly, what a sweet, touching message you sent to ALL of your loves. And I can really relate to your story about Piper and Max – I said goodbye to my beloved Beauty Girl in February and was not “ready” for a new love, and a friend called whose mother had a two year old cat that needed a home and WOW, i now have “Boots” and he truly helped me through the grief and loss. I still cry and feel the sadness when I think of my beloved Beauty Girl, but Boots is so young, energetic and a constant companion, I don’t have much time for sadness :-). I think the universe brings us together when the time is right, don’t you? I am very glad you are a part of our caring community, and look forward to hearing more from you.
