@pfd1963 Hi Paul. What did you find out about Chico yesterday?

      • The oncologist veterinarian at Blue Pearl Animal Hospital in Delaware said. Since Chicos tumors have shrunk to the point where you can’t see them or feel them on his body anymore (the tumor lump may not be there anymore, the cancer cells are still there). And since the 2 Mast Cell Tumors that had cancer were removed were low grade and had clean margins. All we have to do for now is monitor Chico to see if they grow back into tumor lumps again, or if he develops new lumps. We will have them surgically removed.

Terri, there is no timeline for mourning, and healing takes place with time, and memories of the fun and love you shared. Holidays especially stir emotions and I hope you have many good and happy thoughts of Cheech and the joys he brought you, and the love you gave him. Do you have any other pets now? May we see more pictures of Cheech, and hear about your lives together? Perhaps you will join our group meeting this Thursday at 8PM EST to talk about Cheech. A link will be sent in an email Thursday. We’re thinking of you. Toni

Randy! Hello ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s so good to hear from you and see your GOOD BOY Renzo taking care of things (and you). Anniversaries and holidays stir memories of our beloveds and that’s as it should be. We hurt a bit but feel happy and grateful for the lives and loves we shared. Right? We wouldn’t trade that for anything. Renzo is so lucky you opened your home and heart to him, and aren’t YOU the lucky duck to have him warming your bed for you. Thanks for the update and picture. We love to see and hear from everyone. And thank you for the kind wishes. it means a lot. {HUGS} for you and Renzo. Toni

What a lovely tribute to Spazzie, Linda. I am so sorry for your parting, and am happy for the times you and Spazzie shared. She sure is a darling. How old was she? How did you meet, and how long were you together? Holiday season is tough without our beloved friends and I hope you know we are here for you. You might want to join our group meeting Thursday Dec. 15th to share with us. The link is posted in the comment below, and you’ll be getting an email that morning with it again. Sending you {{HUGS}} Toni

Glenda, Oh my gawd, I don’t have words right now, but, while your story is so very tough, it is good to hear from you. I will have more to share tomorrow – this is very moving for me and I need to absorb it. Here is a {HUG} until then my dear.

Dustin, you have been through so much, and are so kind and generous to open your home and heart to another – go to our “Find Services” tab at the top of this page, enter your zip code, and use the drop down menu to find Rescues & Shelters in your area. I am sure you will find one that can help you find a new love to share with. Peanut surely had a long, loving life with you, and I hope you find comfort knowing your care and love gave Peanut the very best life that could be. It’s just a doggone shame they are only “on loan” to us, but then, aren’t we all? I am so, so sorry for your loss, and so very happy for your life of love with Peanut. Check out our resources, call or email me if you need help, and Thank You for sharing, Dustin. We’re waiting to hear from you. Toni

Chuck! I think about you and Dixie all the time – I tell people about you painting her toenails :-). You certainly have a way with the pups, turning them into biker dogs. I am so happy to hear from you, see pictures of Dixie, and know that you are doing well. You touched us deeply when Dexter passed, and are always a most welcome part of our community. I am just tickled to hear from you and Dixie. Please don’t be a stranger, and have a wonderful holiday. Hmmm…. will you share some holiday phots of Dixie with us? Huge {HUGS}. Toni

Cherie, there is no time line for grief, and this time of year is especially difficult, bringing up memories of past holidays. I really hope you will allow yourself to remember the good times, the fun and funny times, to be happy for the years you and Peanut shared. We all have to leave one day, and knowing Peanut had a great life of love with you might bring you happiness if you let it. And you do have to allow yourself to feel happy – it can sometimes feel guilty to be happy with memories – but it doesn’t have to be that way. Peanut would want you remember her with joy and celebrate your lives, wouldn’t she? So Cherie, please let yourself be happy for the precious gift of your time together. And the time you have now with your other sweet babies. They are loving you too, now. Please let us know how you are coming along. I want to know that you are finding smiles with your memories of Peanut. {HUGS} Toni
