Yes, the anniversaries bring up strong memories and emotions. How sweet to get a “jingle”. I hope that comforts you. We say it all the time, because it’s true – they are never with us long enough, and the stronger the love the deeper the pain. You are lucky to have Mae and Sheba to share your love now, and Raina is surely happy for your generosity in opening your home and heart to them. Light another candle for Raina on the anniversary, and don’t forget to celebrate the day you met, too! There was a lot of joy in between those dates. Toni -

You are so kind and thoughtful, Martha. I really appreciate that. I am delighted, and quite surprised that Walter is doing okay. It’s really tough knowing he has the mass, and I watch him like a hawk for signs he is in distress, but he’s playing a little with me, sleeping A LOT, eating and doing okay. What a surprise and gift. Faith, I am so sorry. Had Jojo been unwell? I am among many who kind of hope our beloved, if ill, will pass away in their sleep so we don’t have to make the decision to help them along. Neither is easy and no matter how long we’ve been together, we always wish for more times to share. My BG was quite unwell and I know letting her pass peacefully was in her best interest, but I still miss her a year later, and always will, but mt memories are happy and I am grateful she was in my life. I hope, with time, YOUR memories bring you smiles. Please let us know how you are coming along and feel welcome to tell us more about Jojo, and share some pictures of him. Scooter, Bubba and Buddy – what little darlings, Linda. Aren’t you fortunate to have shared their lives? And how loving and kind of you to care for them, give them your love and know they lived their best lives. It’s a shame they are never with us long enough (forever wouldn’t be long enough), but what a gift to treasure the time we are allotted together. Thank you for sharing with us, and please share your own condolences with others in our caring community who are grieving the loss of their beloveds.
