    In just alittle over a month it will be the one year anniversary of Raina\’s death. While Mae keeps us on our toes. The night before last, at about 2 am I heard tags jingling in the livingroom. Both Mae and Sheba were in our bedroom. I have to believe that Raina was paying us a visit. Checking and making sure the house was safe.I still find it hard to talk about her without crying.

      Yes, the anniversaries bring up strong memories and emotions. How sweet to get a “jingle”. I hope that comforts you. We say it all the time, because it’s true – they are never with us long enough, and the stronger the love the deeper the pain. You are lucky to have Mae and Sheba to share your love now, and Raina is surely happy for your generosity in opening your home and heart to them. Light another candle for Raina on the anniversary, and don’t forget to celebrate the day you met, too! There was a lot of joy in between those dates. Toni
