Remember 5 years, 5 months agoWe lost Rangers mom on January 5th 2021 her name is Lei-D-Bug ; they couldn\’t give her the medicine to save her because it would be fluid on her lungs and drowned her. We took her in for a check up and left alone in shock.-
Oh my goodness, Connie – What a terrible shock for you. You made the hardest, kindest choice for Lei-D-Bug but how terribly sad. I am so very sorry. Were there symptoms?

We knew she had a heart murmur since a pup. I was sitting with her the night before and I’m the vet at home so I get a feeling or sense from my furbabies. Her eyes, her quietness and she’s bubbly; we stayed with and talked to her and we miss her and Ranger everyday he was one of her pups.

Remember 5 years, 5 months agoThese were when my Heart Good Boy was still healthy and doing good. He has cushings disease and when it it full force he went do w in just a matter of 2weeks. I had to put him down Nov 1 2020 and my heart is still breaking. He was 12 years old. The picture where he is laying on the blue was just a few days before I lost him. I know that when he crossed that rainbow bridge he became that loving and playful dog again. I will see him again.

Tears for you, Connie….I have tears seeing those big, kind, beautiful eyes. You have to still be in pain, it hasn’t been very long. It’s good to know he is not suffering, and I hope your memories of the wonderful, loving times together are bringing you comfort. Connie, please let us know how you are. Hugs.

Oh my goodness, these pictures are so sweet, touching and fun (the microwave and Jack on his back)…We are developing a section in our community for memorials just like what you have shared. Thank you. Keep an eye out for that. What happened to Jack? He was so young, and handsome. I am so so sorry…Candles can take a day or so to show up because we physically approve each submission to make sure there are no ‘bots in our community – we are all real people here. You should see it within 24 hours. Please, tell us more about Jack, and let us know how you are doing.

Remember 5 years, 5 months agoI always had pets growing up. Everyone was the best dog or cat ever in the entire world. Caesar my bestest buddie passed away January 2019. He was diagnosed with Epilepsy and had seizures, but not close enough together to put him on meds. The meds would have done more harm to his body than good. He must have had a seizure during the night and hurt his back, I had no choice, he was paralyzed. I live with that decision but know in my heart it was for the best for him. He is running free over that rainbow bridge playing with all the other pets I had. It hurts my heart to this day. I miss him.-
Yes, Jennie, the selfless, kind act of releasing our beloved pet from suffering is so very difficult and heart wrenching, even though we intellectually know it’s our final act of kindness we can extend after a life together. I am sorry you had to say goodbye to Caesar, but you acted in his best interest, and with Love. If you are not ready to bring another faithful friend into your home, perhaps you could volunteer to walk dogs at a shelter to help fill the void?….

Remember 5 years, 5 months agoI lost my dog Macy May 4 2019. We lost her to bladder cancer. We didn’t want her to suffer anymore it was the hard decision to make, The family was there with her until the end.We buried her in the backyard at our old house. I miss her every day. I couldn’t take her to our new home because the old house is her resting place. So it hard for me to del with this. I will drive by and say hi to her and our kitty of 20 years buried there too Nike.I haven’t.been able to give other dog a new home yet because I miss Macy so much. She was 15 1/2 years old when she passed she was the last of her family tree..I love you Macy ❤️-
I just lost my dog Macie too. Im sorry this hurts.i miss her.

Nancy, what a beautiful girl Macy was. There is no timetable on grief. It can take a long time to open your heart and home again. I know someone who refuses to go through the grief of losing a beloved pet ever again. That’s her choice and I understand it. I went for many years without a pet again, then fell in love with my girl who I was fostering back to health. She’s getting up there (17 soon), and has ongoing medical issues we’re treating, and I have melted down a few times when I thought she was dying, so I know the pain. I also wouldn’t trade the years we’ve had together, sleeping with her backside in my face, having someone greet me when I come home…just all the love in the house while she is in it. It’s not easy to say goodbye. I hope you find smiles before tears, and let us know how you are doing.
