Remember 5 years, 7 months agoWe lost one of our 6 pups today. He was 2 days shy of 8 weeks old. Our hearts are broken!
-
So sorry you lost a puppy. It’s heartbreaking. Hang in there…💜
-
Thank you. You are sweet.

Billie Jo, what happened? This is so sad and we are so sorry with you. What breed was he? How are the others doing? How is his mother doing – is she mourning him, too? What happened, do you know? It’s so hard to lose a loved one, and so young. I am, we are, so, so sorry… Is there anything we can do besides let you know we are here for, and with you? With my teary, sincere sympathy, Toni.
-
We don’t know what happened. He was kind of sluggish the other day. He slept most of the day after we brought him inside. The next morning he was acting like his old self so we put him back with the other, then we went to run some errands. And when we came back, he wouldn’t or couldn’t come to me. I picked him up and pretty much all he did was breath and do baby howls and wiggle his tail barely. The emergency vet we talked to required cash up front, we didnt have it, but she said it could be low sugar so we fed him some syrup but to no avail. I appreciate you just talking to me if I need it Thank You.

Hmmm…. one of our members lost a young pup to a disease I hadn’t heard of. I wonder if anyone in the community has insights to puppy afflictions? We’re working to align with veterinary consultations and I hope we can make that available early next year. Faithful Friends is friendly with an organization called Waggle.org that helps pay for treatment. I don’t know if they would have been a resource for you, but we will work to make Waggle a presence in our community. I’m speaking with them again in the new year, so watch for more information.
What a shame, Billie Jo. We are all saddened, and here for you any time. Here is a HUG for you.-
hmmm. thankyou for the info on Waggle. I will check them out.

Remember 5 years, 7 months agoMy sandy girl left me to early she was 30 yrs old in dog years she acted like a 5yr old running playing till the doggy rainbow called her home spring of 2020-
Sue, I am so sorry. What happened to Sandy? Is she at least part Shepherd? How can we help you? Toni
-
She just woke up one morning and she couldn’t breath right I took her to the vet fast they felt her throat and said she was eaten up with cancer and cut off her breathing I told them she’s not going to suffer please don’t test just let her stop suffering god took her peacefully I still see her sitting on my couch today she was German Sheppard /cyotye mix. I’m just missing her so bad tonight thank you though
-
Oh Sue, how loving and selfless of you to think of Sandy first. I mean that. True care and loving means helping them find relief and release, even though we are devastated to let them go. It is, and should be, about them, not us. I know the depth of pain that comes with this. I also know, and you do too, and will be able to access one day, the complete joy of the loving times we shared, no matter how briefly. But, that takes time, and healing, and I, we in our community, understand and are here for you. Let us know how you are, and how we can support you. Hugs. Toni

Remember 5 years, 7 months agoThis is my Orange T. I found him on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere as a tiny kitten and took him home in October 2003. It was the best thing i ever did. He changed my life.
He passed away on May 28 2020. I miss him every day. Things arent the same without him. We love and miss you T❤-
Oh Cathy, I am so sorry. He is handsome and I see in the picture the love you shared. It’s been less than a year and there is no time line for healing. Some day your smiles will come before the tears, but that’s all in your own time. We provide access to a grief counselor if you would find that helpful. Letting your feelings out with our community may help because we all understand and are here to support you. Don’t hesitate to keep sharing your feelings with us, and let us know how you are doing. I think holidays make things harder, and soon the daylight will last longer – maybe that will help lift your spirits. I’m thinking of you.

Awww … how special … ty for opening your home to a stray baby and I am so sorry about your loss … I know how hard it can be. Deepest condolences 😢

Remember 5 years, 7 months agoMaggie 7/17/10 – 12/15/20
What a good girl you were. We miss you.-
Oh, there she is! I just saw the adorable picture of Maggie. Looks like a hot day. How long were you together?
-
She was born July of 2010 and she came to me Oct of 2010 on our boy Gunners 1st bday. She was his bday present. The 2 of them were always together. They would both chase the deer and other critters on our land. Maggie always was smiling. Everyone who met her fell in love and she loved them right back. She was my granddaughters constant companion. We miss her so much.
-
Wendy, Your loss is so recent and it’s just awful how much it hurts. Gunner is eleven now? How is he doing with this? The holiday season was sad enough this year, and I am so, so sorry. Please keep us posted on how you and your family are. I’m thinking of you. Toni

Remember 5 years, 7 months agoThis is Addison. She\’s been at the
\” rainbow bridge \” since April 6, 2019. She was born 2/1/2007- 4/6/19. She was a mix of lab, keeshond, and some other stuff. She made it to 12 years old. Her health was not good, at the end, blind, confused, bad hips, and my other dogs ( while living took over \” mothering\” her).-
Oh Gawd….that is so touching, Paula. That’s what they, and if we’re kind, we, do – look out for and take care of one another. I think it’s the pure kindness and love of pets that make us realize how good we can be too. Will you please let us know how you, and your other pet loves, are doing? I hope this holiday brings you all more joy than sorrow. Toni

Remember 5 years, 8 months agoKatie was my best friend. I got her 13 years ago as a Christmas gift from my husband, she was a rescue dog and would be around 19 years. She was a funny girl. When I fed her she would take her nose and try to flip her dish if she did not like it. She also would bark if she wanted my food or my husband\’s. I seriously don\’t know why someone would get rid of such a sweet little girl like her. She was so loved and we miss her dearly.-
Katie was very lucky to have found you. It’s soooo hard when they leave us at any age. I’m a little teary looking at her pictures. It’s not been very long since her passing and you need time to grieve. I am very sorry and hope you let us know how you are doing, and how we can support you. Toni
-
Ty Toni! Every time I see her picture I cry. She was my Christmas baby and a very sweet little girl.

Remember 5 years, 8 months agoSunny my parakeet just passed away and his mate sunshine keeps calling for him and I don\’t know what to do, I want to get her a new mate but I don\’t know if that would upset her more or if she would accept him or not. Any advice will help.this is sunshine.-
I’m sorry for the passing of your beloved Sunny. Certainly, pets go through a grief process just like we do. Allow the healing process to progress forward for Sunshine…and give and send love to her. Blessings.
-
I’m reaching out to our community to ask for advice in your specific situation. We have some veterinary professionals here, and are working to bring a veterinary counsel on board. Please, if you have a doctor for your parakeet, ask them, but Glenn is right – we all, pets and people, grieve. Give Sunny more attention and talk with Sunny about it. They get it. We’ll be back to you when we have more help for you, but in the mean time, if Glenn can help, or your own doctor, please call on them. We’re so sorry for you and Sunshine. Toni
-
Poor baby … I’m sorry about your loss and so sorry your other bird is sad … there is nothing worse for your grief than seeing other pets grieve also. I hope, in time that your other parakeet will get over his loss and time will help heal your heart as well 🥰

Remember 5 years, 8 months agoI lost my heart, peanut 2 yes ago in feb of next year. It still is painful. There will always be an emptiness in my heart for him, he was a great friend and companion ❤-
Rene – I just saw your post and picture of Peanut. He is beautiful. I am truly so. so sorry for your loss. I don’t think time is the measure of grieving. And I know there are moments when the good memories outweigh the bad, but the hole in your heart lasts a long time, especially when they are such dear friends. I have to remind myself they are gifts on loan to us, but that sounds better on paper than it feels in reality, doesn’t it? What can we do for you? Here is a HUG…Toni
-
I am all too familiar with what a huge hole in your heart the loss of a sweet kitty can cause. My deepest sympathy … though time does heal … it doesn’t erase the pain or memories … bless you 😊
