Sunny my parakeet just passed away and his mate sunshine keeps calling for him and I don\’t know what to do, I want to get her a new mate but I don\’t know if that would upset her more or if she would accept him or not. Any advice will help.this is sunshine.-
I’m sorry for the passing of your beloved Sunny. Certainly, pets go through a grief process just like we do. Allow the healing process to progress forward for Sunshine…and give and send love to her. Blessings. -
I’m reaching out to our community to ask for advice in your specific situation. We have some veterinary professionals here, and are working to bring a veterinary counsel on board. Please, if you have a doctor for your parakeet, ask them, but Glenn is right – we all, pets and people, grieve. Give Sunny more attention and talk with Sunny about it. They get it. Poor baby … I’m sorry about your loss and so sorry your other bird is sad … there is nothing worse for your grief than seeing other pets grieve also. I hope, in time that your other parakeet will get over his loss and time will help heal your heart as well 🥰
