Kat posted an update 3 years, 4 months ago
It’s been almost 2 months since I lost Pooh and the grief is still here. The tears still flow and I get a lump in my throat when people ask about Pooh not knowing she passed. I don’t want to replace her and know I can’t, but I can continue the love I have for her. In May I will be bringing an 8wk old puppy into my home. I have named her Bailie and she has already put a smile in my heart. I know I will still miss Pooh and nothing can take that away, but I know I continue her legacy with sharing my love with another sheltie girl. I will keep in touch with all of you and let you know how I’m doing.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am so heartbroken because I lost my boy too. The pain is unbearable. I wish you peace and comfort .💔 -
Kat, I would never recommend getting a new pet until you are “ready” but I took in a young cat last year only ten days after my BG died and it completely changed the way I felt about her passing. It made me realize that she and I shared a fabulous life for as long as we were given, and that another baby needed a life of love and kindness. Bailie is not a “replacement” for Pooh, she is a new life of love for you to share. Don’t you think Pooh would be thrilled for you both? I do. And we will always love our darlings and can find smiles and warmth with oir memories of them. Please share some pictures of both Pooh and Bailie and tell us everything about Bailie when she comes home to you. How generous of you to open your home and heart to another. Toni
