What my husband didn’t tell me was our trip was to pick up this little girl. Our friends dog had puppies, when they heard Raina passed, they offered one of their females to my husband for me. I didn’t know about it until it we got there, and was surrounded by puppies. Seems she picked me, of all of them she was the one who came over to play with me. She is such a cute bundle of energy. She was born in May so we gave her the name Mae, not original but we thought it fitting. I do still cry occasionally during the day, but my tears are licked away.

Oh my, Martha…Mae is too cute. I’m smiling and laughing just looking at her. How very kind of your friends and husband. You have to share stories and photos or videos of Mae with us. We know she is not a “replacement” for Raina, she is her own pup and you will have a special loving relationship with her, too. We are all so delighted for you, and to have Mae as a new community member :-)…..here’s a {{smooch}} from me :-).Toni
