Jeri posted an update 4 years, 5 months ago
My heart is still trying to heal with the loss of my baby girl Chloe last Aug. Yes I still have Sophie and Daisy, but there’s still an emptiness in my heart. My little deaf baby girl took a piece of my heart and soul with her! 💔-
Oh Jeri, we understand. It hasn’t been very long since Chloe passed, especially the way she did, which was so hard for you to see. I really understand because my girl has had two seizure-like events and it is absolutely terrifying. She has also become deaf (and blind). I almost let her go yesterday but she rallied. It’s touch and go, and like it was for you with Chloe, it’s heartbreaking. So Jeri, let yourself grieve, and share your feelings with us. We’re here for you. And, I hope Sophie and Daisy bring you great joy and love. Stay in touch. Toni -
I’m sorry Toni you’re going through the heart wrenching season with your girl. It’s so hard to watch and accept, I’m so sorry. I guess you’ll know when it’s time and your heart will break and ache. They are such a important part of our family. Just today I ran Across a site that asked the question, “do you have a pet that has captured your heart more than another?” Don’t get me wrong, I’m a die hard animal lover! We are snowbirds, do the RV thing just so our girls can be with us! But I have never had a pup like little Chloe, that Captured my heart so completely. She was always in my arms or on my lap! All 4 lbs of her! Followed me everywhere. I just feel so lost and incomplete without her!! I just don’t know how adjust without her….💔

Thank you Jeri. I’m taking her today at noon. Yes, the tears come from deep within, but she deserves a peaceful exit. We’ve been treating her multiple health challenges for over a year but she’s failing and I am sure she is not going to improve. She’s losing weight, has more blood in her stool, is vomiting more…the list goes on. I am grateful for our five years together. Heartbroken to my core. And thankful for your support and understanding. -
Toni I’m so very sorry. I know your heartache. It’s our selfishness to keep them with us because we love them so very much. But we love them so much to give them peace when they are hurting and their sweet little bodies are failing them. I know how empty and sad you will feel. My heart is with you today and the coming days Toni. I’m wrapping my arms around you in a big hug. I’m coming up on 7 months since I lost Chloe and I still have moments of tears. They are a big part of our family. You mentioned 5 years, was your baby a rescue? Could you share a picture and tell me about her? Thinking of you…💔💕
