My pretty Angel crossed the bridge recently. I still walk by the room I had his night cage thinking I\’m forgetting him. Only to not find him there. He was my funny, and annoying Goffin Cockatoo. My home is so silent now. I miss his dancing and random talking.

Martha, the silence can be deafening💔It is hard not to feel a wave of sadness wash over you. Can you try to recall more fun and funny moments when that happens? It is good to cry – it helps get rid of toxins. Exercise can help, too, especially if you can go outside. And talking about your feelings with people who understand is very helpful. I hope you will join our kind group Thursday August 15th and share more with us there, as well as here in our community. We’re here for you, Martha.💕Toni

Oh my dawg, Chuck!! I am not making this up – I was thinking of you and Dixie yesterday (remember when you painted her nails pink?). Wow, has she grown up🤗What a beauty. Still a lap dog, I see😎 I can’t believe it’s been 3 1/2 years. If you can, please hop on our group meeting with Dixie so we can say hi. Carla, This is a sad, and a good, story. I agree it was good for Slingo that she passed quickly, but what a shock for you💔I am so very sorry for your loss and grateful for the care Slingo received, and the kindness that was extended to you. I hope you will join our group this month to tell us more about your life with Slingo and about what happened. Carla, I am so sorry for your loss of Slingo 💔 What a sad story about what happened while he was being kennelled at Disney. The staff did everything possible to help Slingo and I am glad that you were able to be with him before his passing. Such a sad, sad thing to happen while you were vacationing and my heart hurts for you all. May Slingo rest in peace.

Good morning, Toni ! I want to thank you for allowing me to light a candle for my Romeo. I was trying to do it since his birthday right after you told me I could. I was finally able to do it just now and I thank you so very much. I am so happy that Romeo’s memory will live on with all the other fur companions here at Faithful Friends. ❤️

Sorry I did not see this till tonight. Slingo died of a stroke while we were at Disney. Slingo was staying at Best Friends kennel on Disney property. When the kennel staff realized something was wrong they drove Slingo to the emergency vet in their own car. They stayed until we arrived at the vet-and even stayed with us for awhile. Slingo was alive it this point. She was on “stroke protocol,” and we had to leave but intended to pick her up in the morning to take her to our vet at home. Unfortunately during the night Slingo had another stroke & died. I am glad it was fast & she did not suffer. Disney was amazing-they refunded the kennel, hotel & park tickets. I will never forget their kindness -

Toni, thank you so much for the opportunity to light a candle for my Romeo. I havent been on here since last week due to medical issues, but I will try doing that today. I also appreciate your invitation to join the meetings. I will continue to try to do that.
I so appreciate your kindness and I especially love your big hugs. Your continuous support has helped me get through losing my Romeo. Even though I still have a lot of sadness, you never pass judgement and are always understanding and kind.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Brony, thank you so much for your kind words and for lighting a candle for my Romeo. What a beautiful, thoughtful thing to do. I appreciate all your support for me over this last year and want you to know what a wonderful human being you are. Despite going through all your own loss, you have found the capacity to comfort me. I admire your strength and ability to rise above all that and extend grace to me and others.
