Good news about darling little Walter. Two weeks ago I had an appointment to let him go but he started acting better and I canceled. He’s eating, playing and his stool is normal. So far, so good :-). He does have an internal mass but now I’m wondering if it’s benign and not growing as fast as it was. We’re day-to-day but right now he’s good. I like to share happy news, too. Toni🤗

You are so kind and thoughtful, Martha. I really appreciate that. I am delighted, and quite surprised that Walter is doing okay. It’s really tough knowing he has the mass, and I watch him like a hawk for signs he is in distress, but he’s playing a little with me, sleeping A LOT, eating and doing okay. What a surprise and gift. It means so much to have the care and support from our community. Huge {{HUGS}} to you. How are you doing now? Toni

Oh Pam, it IS a heartbreak like no other, isn’t it? It was a love like no other, too. What a wonderful time you and Thumper shared, and how many sweet memories you made together. While we know in our heads one day we will have to say goodbye, in our hearts we are never ready. The shame is our pets are only on loan to us, never for long enough. I hope you know Thumper lived his best life because of you, and I hope that you can find smiles before tears with your memories. {{HUGS}} Toni -

How handsome Nanuq was, Star. And how lucky he was to be loved so well by you. And you by him. The incredible pain and sadness come from the immense love and joy you shared. As Maureen says so well, Nanuq would wish you happiness in your memories of the wonderful times you shared. But it hurts like few other things can, and I, we, are here for you to talk with us. Wendy, I am so sorry for your parting from Mikey. What kind of pet was he? May we see some pictures and hear about your lives together? You are SO welcome in our caring community. Chris, I am so sorry. And I thank you for sharing this important information so we can all be aware of signs of trouble. We don’t get to choose how long our pets are with us, we only get to love on, and with, them for the time we are granted, which is never long enough, and we will love them forever. So sorry for your loss. I understand completely how you feel. My boy passed a few months ago and like you, my boy saved me. I didnt rescue him, he came to me at a time when I didn’t want to live anymore. My son gifted him to me so I would have a reason to live. Romeo was my reason and now he’s gone. This grief is the worst and I am right back where I was before he came into my life. I wish you peace send you hugs 🫂 to comfort you during this sad time. 💔 -

I lost my joy and happiness when my 11 year old and 9 month old sweet baby boy passed away on 4/03/2023. The pain is unbearable and I will miss every single day. I love you Nanuq 4Ever.
