Thank you so very much. I cannot get up from bed except to go to work. I will try to get up and go for a walk. My heart is completely broken. Miss my Hope every minute of the day. -

What a charming image you have given us, Brony. Being in nature or seeing animals is a healing force. It reminds us of all the other life out there. If you can snap a photo of the Turkeys, please share it with us. Now you have me worried about them come Thanksgiving time. -

Maureen, it’s good that you are identifying some of the specific reasons your grief is so unrelenting. Not being able to say goodbye is a terrible thing. It denies us the chance to bid farewell and say again how much we love them. Romeo was well loved by you all his life and he knew that, do you think? We all wish for a slow, gentle passing (for our pets and ouselves) but it doesn’t always happen that way and we struggle to adjust to the sudden change in everything about our lives without our beloved. I think you are coming up from the depths and hope you allow yourself to include good memories of the long, loving life you shared. We’ll crawl along beside you. {HUGS} Toni -

Ines, it’s only been a few eeks since you and Hope said goodbye. You are crawling through ths tremendous pain of parting and it is a challenge – some moments you can smile with the good memories, others you can’t breathe through the sobs. Inch your way along with us. Every few hours each day, try to bring forth a good memory that mekas you happy. If you can get out in nature, or around people, do it. And keep sharing with us. We are here to listen and share. ((BIG HUGS) Toni -

You aren’t alone. I lots my cat Sweetness 8 months ago, and I know it’s hard to lose a pet. I’m never going to get over Sweetness. It takes time .. there’s good days and bad days.. and it’s never easy. But things will eventually get better for you. Romeo will always be in heart . -

She does look for Sweetness.. it took her 5 months to get back to her self again. She’s a happy healthy cat. She sleeps with me, and she’s very vocal . She does play with her nephew to a certain extent. I will post a pick of Fluffy. He has part coon in him. He had a hard time with Sweetness passed away and Smokey too.. Smokey was my boyfriends cat. He passed away 2 weeks after Sweetness passed away. ..
I feel like Sweetness is still around.. Tabby looks at the ceiling like she can see Sweetness spirit and Smokey too. -

Toni, I know I’m welcome here, but, thank you for saying that. I try my best to be there for others whenever I can. I am a caretaker by nature and feel happiest when I have someone to take care of. Romeo was that for me these last 14.5 years and even though I knew he was aging, I didn’t expect him to die the way he did. There wasn’t time to react and he was gone before I realized what was happening. That’s not the way it was supposed to be. So, I think that is why I am still having a hard time. I am working on trying to get to a better place.
Thank you so much ❤️ -

Brony, thank you so much for your kindness. I can’t believe the way I am feeling, even after 6 months of losing Romeo. I have been trying to keep my chin up and sometimes I seem to be on my way to getting better, but, then I crash. I am just having a hard time is all. I appreciate your willingness to help me find purpose. I just don’t have one, but, maybe, my purpose is me now to just go on each day and live. I guess I just have to accept that now I must find a way to do that alone.
Thank you so much, Brony, you are very sweet to care. ❤️

Blessings are all around us. When I looked out the window I saw a turkey by herself. But behind her were 9 little babies about two inches high. They were adorable and what a proud mama.

I would love to snap a picture of the turkeys, but it’s way to hot this weekend, maybe it will cool down soon. There little feet would burn. It’s supposed to be 115 for a couple of days. As soon as I see them I’ll take a picture. Don’t worry about Thanksgiving, they are safe. They are wild turkeys and don’t taste good.

Ouch…That’s just too hot! Do they have water?

Leesa, thank you for painting such a fun and sweet picture of Buddy. It is so easy to forget the wonderful years of joy and love when we are feeling the loss so deeply. I hope you keep pulling forward those good times and know you gave Buddy his best life full of frolic and everlasting love. Toni -

But it was 15 years old and it was a really good dog I wasn’t supposed to have a dog in my apartment is so I trained him to go in and out of a beach bag and every time you would put a school bag down or something he would try to crawl in it because he thought it was going bye-bye my kids used to put them on a boogie board and he would sit on the Boogie Board and they would push him around in the water you could bring him into the store and they would sit with a kid sit in the car and he would just sit there he would just love all the people going up and Pat them -

Please tell us about Buddy – how you met, how long you were together, what kind of pet he was … anything you’d like to share, we want to hear. And show us some pictures of Buddy if you like. Toni
