I am so sorry, Dee-Ann. Were Cody and Jake brothers? How long were you together? Are some of your tears from joy? I hope so. They will always be “with” you and I hope you find more happiness than sorrow in your memories. Toni

What a touching tribute you have written to Odie, Janet. I am really sorry for the reason Odie passed. Did he have an underlying condition for which the doc was treating? I found sleeping with a stuffed toy helped me through the nights. In addition to singing to Odie, can you write notes to him telling him your feelings? Please let us know how you are coming along, and continue to share with us. {{HUGS}} Toni

You will always love Peanut – that doesn’t go away when they do. Over time, with time, I hope you find smiles before tears with her memories, until you are only filled with joy and gratitude for the time you shared. ❤️Toni

Jake and Cody. Lost Cody in February 2018 and Jake in October 2018. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of them. Still brings tears each time!

This is my Odie. Lost him June 7, 2022, suddenly after the vet Gave him the wrong meds. He was only 11yrs old. He was my Sunshine!! 🌝
My Companion, knew all my moods, gave me so very much love & knew all my secrets. I just hope I gave him as much Love as he gave me.
My heart is still broken in millions of pieces. I miss him everyday -& especially at bedtime. He\’d be right there beside me. I sang,\” You are my Sunshine\” to him every night!!
When he was barely breathing, he had his eyes closed & I sang that to him….he opened his eyes & gave me this big look of love & a tear rolled out of his eyes. Then He took his last breath!! I LOST it!! 😭
              I\’ll never forget that day.😰
I cry most nights. Don\’t know, if I\’ll ever get over loosing my sweet baby. 😪😪
I LOVE YOU ODIE FOREVER & UNTIL I SEE YOU AGAIN.💞💔❤️‍🩹

                    • Jasper was 19 got him.in 2005..it was raining ..he was hi stepping the wet grass
                      • Took him home and he met his wife gizzy
They were inseparable until she had a seizure and left us .. she was 13
                        • Kim, this is the hard and sad part of sharing our lives with pets who are so sweet and loving – saying goodbye. May I ask you, would you have given up all those moments with Jasper and Gizzy? I suspect not. Can you be kind to yourself in knowing that you loved them and gave them their best lives? Isn’t that the commitment we make going into a loving relationship with our darlings? Yes, it hurts like nothing else to say goodbye. That’s why we are here for, and with you – because we understand and care. So, if you can, when you are ready, please bring forth the fun and funny memories of Jasper and Gizzy. Maybe write them each a note telling them how much grateful you are to have had them in your life. And, imagine what they each would want you to know about the wonderful life they shared with you. Please let us know how you are doing, Kim. {{HUGS}} Toni
                          • Kim, I am so sorry for your loss of Jasper 💔 He was such a cutie and how lucky you were to have him 19 years. What a wonderful life he had with you and he knew how much he was loved.
Sending you comforting hugs 💔 Peace be with you.
                          • @doxiemama67 Jacqueline, hello and welcome. I am so sorry for your losses and invite you to tell us about each of them, and share pictures with us. I am so sorry, Vicki. Last night, in our group meeting, we talked about the final act of kindness – granting our beloved pets a comfortable, peaceful passing. It is the most loving, selfless gift we can give them – relief and release from current and future suffering. Now, the painful process of moving forward without Peanuts. There is no getting around the pain and the tears, just let them flow. Little by little, think of happy memories. You can even write notes to Peanut recalling your happy times, and write FROM Peanut to you. Her sister is mourning alongside you, Vicki, and I hope you find comfort in each other. Let us know how you are both coming along. {{HUGS}} Toni

Kim, I am so sorry. It hasn’t been very long since you said goodbye to Bubbies and it is certainly undertsandable that you are still deeply grieving. I was relieved when I said goodbye to my darling, knowing it was best for her to have a peaceful passing, but the emptiness of my home and bed and everything was very hard for me, too. I made a mistake giving away her things too quickly, and found sleeping with a stuffed animal helped me a lot. (Others have found even holding a pillow helps). Brony is right – opening your home and heart to another does heal – it reminds us that while one life and love has departed, another is around for us to care for and about. But, YOU have to be ready for that and there is no set limit on when. For me, a friend’s mother had to go into a facility for awhile and I brought in her young kitty, Boots. He was full of life and energy (my goodness, the energy!) and truly healed my broken heart. I’ve since had to return Boots but will always be grateful for having him enter my sad world just ten days after I said goodbye to my Beauty Girl (You can read her memorial on our Memorials tab). So Kim, remember the many fun, funny, loving years you and Bubbies shared, and know Bubbies would want you to be happy for them. We’re here for you, and want to hear from you. {{HUGS}} Toni

When I lost my Lulu I was a crying mess for months. I adopted Lucy cause I was so lonely. She helped to mend my heart. Take your time. Something shall come along to help heal your heart.

Bubbies was an amazing cat. He was 18 when we had to send him to the rainbow bridge. To be honest I’m not handling his death all too well. It’s been 3 1/2 weeks and my heart aches for him. I can’t stop crying. There’s a big hole that only he could fill. My house feels empty.
