Suzanne, it is completely understandable that you feel hurt, even angry. Your friend must have been in extreme distress having to say goodbye to Chloe sooner than she thought and she was dealing with that, not trying to hurt you, do you think? She must need comforting and support and I hope you can provide some of that for her. You may feel better about how this came to be. She, or you, are welcome to light a candle for Chloe, and please invite your friend to join our group on the 19th of November. I am thinking of you and sending you {{HUGS}}. Toni -

I’m feeling hurt, angry and cheated out of a good bye right now. The person whom I
dog walk for weekly and dog sit for as needed. Told me yesterday she was probably going to say good bye to one of her dogs but didn’t have a date yet. I asked her if I could come over and say good bye to her yesterday, sometime today. She said yes. I just texted her to ask if I could come over around 2;00 to see Chloe, the pups and my friend. She texted me back that Chloe was already in heaven. I’ve been caring for this persons dogs for 10 years and while I only knew Chloe for a short time, she touched my heart like all her other dogs and my cats do. It just hurts that I didn’t get to say goodbye especially when she kept asking me for reassurance last night and this morning that she was making the right choice but wasn’t sure when. 😾💔😿🐾🐾💔😿🌈 I’m sorry I can’t respond to other posts right now I’m
Just hurt angry and in shock. I’ll try to come back later today or tomorrow to update everyone on Kaylanee and respond to everyone. Please know despite my hurt, pain and anger I’m holding all you in prayer thst you and all your pets may feel God’s loving healing embrace.-

Sorry for the delayed reply. Andy & I are okay. I’m starting a broken item of the day pile because he’s apparently lost interest in his toys and is getting into anything and everything he can find. Today’s Oct. 27, National Black Cat Day. Especially missing my Minnie, Mickey, Serenity & Annie today. -

I probably don’t need to remind everyone to be careful Halloween weekend – no candy, especially chocolate and sugar-free.
Also, costumes can be cute to us but painful and/or dangerous for our pets. Aren’t they cute enough just as they are?💕
Strangers at the door can be frightful for pets, or they may try to run out an open door. It may be kind to keep skittish pets in a quiet, safe room away from the “action”.
Whatever you do this Halloween, I hope you and yours enjoy it🫠

Kaylanee appears to be back to her normal self. The antibiotic, thankfully did its job and cleared up the UTI. Thankfully we had the last antibiotic last night and the probiotic appears to have helped also as her BM’s are back to normal. We’ll be going to the vet tomorrow for a recheck, which hopefully will be quick and good news. Kaylanee isn’t a lap cat but she loves coming under the covers, when I’m at night and cuddling as close to me as she’s able. I’m loving that. This is her new favorite spot to sit , the bathroom window. She’s my window and shoulder girl. Hope all is well with everyone. Holding all in prayer.-

Update on Kaylanee:
After spending about 6 hours at the Veterinary urgent care, on Saturday, as I suspected, she was diagnosed with a UTI. The vet was surprised as her preliminary thought was it was most likely a bladder infection, since UTIs in female cats are rare. When urine viewed under microscope, blood was noted and the bacteria was rod shaped, making it more challenging to treat. We came home with 3 different meds, including an antibiotic, a probiotic, and hydro care. She has so many meds now, temporarily, that I had to set up an am/pm med bar, so I don’t give the meds at the wrong time and it also saves me time when I get home late at night or rushing around before work in the morning. The good news is she seems to be doing much better after two days of antibiotics, using the litter box PRN and peeing vs., jumping in/out upward of 18x in 4 hours on Sunday and spending extensive periods of time in their, prior to vet visit, and not peeing. I continue to have her isolated from Takoda and Oreo, which I hate doing but it’s the only way I’m able to monitor her litter box use. The bad news is the antibiotic is creating havoc on her intestines and she’s having “mud” piles. Thankfully, the antibiotic is temporary. This is a picture of her this morning sitting in one of her favorite places, watching cat tv. Since coming home from the vet Saturday night she’s also been spending lot of time snuggling up close to me under the blankets while we sleep. She has a sweater on because she’s light weight and I don’t want her to be cold, as the temperature in my house is rather chilly right now. Thanks for all the prayers for Kaylanee. I continue to hold all of you in prayer.-

Please pray for Kaylanee. We’re at Urgent care now, 4:00 appointment. Since Thursday that I’m aware of she’s been in/out of litter box but only peeing small amounts if at all. Today in a 4 hour window she was in/out at least 18 times that I noticed and sitting in there for 2-5 minutes each time. She’s pooping normally so thinking maybe UTI or kidney or bladder issue. Will update when I’m able. Praying for all who are grieving and/or facing health challenges with their beloved pets.

Just as we carry our love forever, a bit of sadness and pain stay with us, too.
