All 3 of my girls that I lost with in 7 1/2 months of each other came up in my FB memories today. Spirit 5/23/22, Black cat sitting behind me, Autumn Ranger, 7/18/22, and Saraya 1/ 9/23, who died of a broken heart after loosing her 2 bonded sisters. July 25, is also the 1 year heavenly birthday of my dear sweet toothless senior Kalina. I only had her for less than 3 months but she left an indelible mark on my heart and befriended and helped Sebastian to become less timid and more interactive with his human, by her sweet gentle loving manner. The last two pictures are of Kalina and of Sebastian saying good bye to Kalina. How I miss my girls and Sebastian and the many other fur babies I’ve lost over the years. Sometimes I wish I could turn back the hands of time so I could have more tike to spend with them but at the save time I don’t think I’d want to repeat the pain of saying goodbye to them again. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you grieving the loss of a beloved pet. -

I feel your pain Maureen. I find sometimes I’m grieving more now than when I had to say good bye to my many fur babies. Sending you hugs and praying that you may feel God’s loving healing embrace. -

Yes, Romeo will always be a part of your heart and memories, and sometimes, when we allow ourselves to think back to the times that we shared, good and bad, the sadness and pain come back. I hope you also have smiles when you think of the many fun, funny and loving times you and Romeo enjoyed. Please keep sharing your feelings with us Maureen. I am sending you more {{BIG HUGS}}. Toni -

Hi Toni, I am doing okay. Of course, some days are still hard, but because of therapy, support groups and wonderful advice from so many people, I am moving along. I still miss my Romeo terribly and he certainly left a scar on my heart that I will always feel. He was my everything!
Thank you so much for reaching out. -

The July Group Meeting will not be held this month but we will be here for you to share your stories, feelings, concerns and joys. We are ALWAYS here in our Community to listen and support you.
Please be weather wary for your pets. Extra hydration and ample shade are required in the heat, and quiet, safe places should be provided during storms. Enjoy your July and we will meet you August 20th for our group meeting. Toni -

Happy Birthday America! Our pets may not be celebrating with the heat and firework noises.😨 If you can, protect them from both by keeping them cool and away from the noise. Lots of water, petting and a calming voice.
Share photos of your hoiday babies with us- we’d love to see them 🎉 -

Suzanne, its great news about Takoda. I’m happy to see Kaylanee is doing well in NH, but youre probably right about her missing her brother’s. Sounds like you had a nice time with your sister in Mass. It is sooo hot down here in SW Florida and being outside is not an option for me. Thank goodness for AC…lol
I know it’s hot up north too, so stay cool. -

Good news about the ultrasound🙌🎉Whew…thank you for letting us know. It sounds like you are very busy and doing fun things with your family. You need this break and I hope you continue to enjoy your time away. Kaylanee may be happy for a break herself😻Stay cool and be good to yourself. Toni -

Regarding Takoda: I finally called the vet Monday afternoon. The vet specialist never informed her via email or otherwise, that they had posted Takoda’s results in the portal. This specialty clinic evidently per my vet is inconsistent with where they post results and this particular specialty clinic has poor communication even with vets, so I guess I can’t take their lack of communication to personally. Anyway the ultrasound results showed no cancer, thank God! It did however show inflamed intestine and bowel area consistent with IBS , so I will pull him off his weight loss food, since vet said he was ok weight wise as she could feel his ribs at his last exam and only feed him the biome for the next month, I’ll just keep his dry food at 1/3 cup per day to cut calories as I was doing with the weight loss food. If he doesn’t show improvement with that and his B-12 injections, we may have to switch to a hydrolyzed diet with out chicken, royal canon has some with a variety of exotic meat flavors. Per Dr. Danboise some cats guts react badly to chicken. If we have to switch, I will try to transition Kaylanee to the same food, since insurance won’t cover her food as they consider her IBS, preexisting. Takoda’s records don’t have IBS written down and we’ll leave it that way so insurance will continue to pay for his food. Regarding myself, I went to Massachusetts yesterday and spent the afternoon and evening with my sister. She’d gotten free tickets, thanks to AARP, to the Wooster Red Sox , triple A team of the Red Sox. While the Red Sox lost the game it was still a fun time. We walked around the ball park, which was built in 2021 and has huge baseballs imprinted with name and number as well as autographed by famous hall of fame Red Sox players. They also have huge replicas of the 4 World Series rings they won this century on display outside the park. I remember when Carl Yastrzemski, retired in the 80s and he was presented with a rocking chair on the field. I also had the privilege, although didn’t realize it at the time, until a fellow employee told me, of waiting on Carlton Fisk, when I worked at McDonald’s as a teenager. I was able to get his autograph ✍️, on a McDonalds bag as I had to bring out an item from his order that was delayed. And yes Toni, I also have been to a Colorado Rockies game, either the same year they opened the park or the following year I still have at least one of the t-shirts. I bought when in attendance there, many many moons ago. 😹 Then I spent the night at my brother’s mother-law’s house and we had a nice visit last night and today as well. Tomorrow, I will spend the day at my brother’s newly rebuilt home up at the Weirs, near Lake Winnipesaukee, his pre ious one was destroyed by a burst pipe, that went undiscovered for 3 weeks while he was on an European cruise. We will hang out together, play cribbage and maybe if it’s warm enough, I’ll go swimming but that’s not likely as while days have been warm nights have been quite cool, making for good sleeping weather. Kaylanee is doing well in NH but I think she’s missing the company of her annoying brothers Takoda and Oreo.-

Oh, even humans get carsick so that was probably causing Kaylanee’s distress. Let us know what the vet says abut Takoda’s ultrasound. Good to hear that your mother is doing well. I hope you are able to relax and enjoy your visit. Thank you for your update, Suzanne. -
