Hi Toni. Trooper and Kasey were my lifesavers after my divorce. I had been unable to have children and truly had noone. Kasey was a beautiful Shetland Sheepdog I bought as a puppy and he was silly and sweet. About 5 years later, I learned about a 3 yr old German Shepherd that had failed the state police academy because he was too docile. I had never owned a large dog so wasn’t sure I was doing the right thing, but it turned out to be the best decision I ever made. He was gentle, fiercely loyal and protective, and Kasey and him became instant buddies. These 2 saw me through some very dark days and their fur soaked up alot of tears. Kasey passed the day after Christmas in 2015 at the age of 14 and Trooper passed in 2017 at the age of 15. I’ve since adopted other dogs, but Kasey and Trooper hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for letting me share a little of my story. -

I have been looking for another chihuahua as a friend for my little chi I have now. Her name is Pixie. She is also a rescue. I placed an ad in our local classified and someone contacted me that they had a chi they could no longer keep. The rest is history!-
That is such a good story, Vicki. Most breeds have Rescues that can also be a resource for finding an adoptee. The Find Services tab on our site has Rescues and Shelters that can be located in your are by entering your zip code. Now, will you show us Pixie ( love that name) and your other Chi? 🙂

Chuck, this is so good to hear. And, it’s so nice of you to let us know how a “bad” thing can bring good feelings. That’s really important and helpful to everyone. We know when we first bring a furry friend into our lives that they are “on loan” to us and one sad day, we will bid them adieu. And we know we wouldn’t have missed a moment of joy and love with them, and that they enjoyed their life with us. Bravo, Chuck. I don’t know why I didn’t think of this earlier, but I was concerned about you bringing your baby home. We have a Find Services tab, and by entering your zip code and using the drop-down menu to find Rescues & Shelters, you may be able to find a puppy there. Let me know if you need help, and if that helps you. Toni

We have a furbaby once again. Libby came to us from a breeder friend. I believe that Libby became too old for the breeder’s stable.
Libby is a mini(?) schnauzer. 8.5 years old, black grey and white, 17 HEAVY pounds. We took her in on December 9, 2020. She is FAST acclimating herself to her new surroundings. And we are LAVISHING her with LOTS of love & petting(she LOVES to be petted!!!!). She will never replace Jolie!! BUT she will be loved and cared for JUST LIKE JOLIE was!!!!-
This is fantastic news! Those Schnauzers are so compact, they do weigh a lot. Try carrying her for a few blocks – great workout :-). Will you share some pictures of Libby with us, please? I’m excited for you all.

Dash, hubby and I have finally decided where we want to settle down. As we are living on our Semi right now. His company just made him a walmart designated driver. Two different companies. So now we are on a house hunt in Utah north of Salt Lake City. I can’t wait for is all to embark on this new chapter.

Lost my best friend 9 days ago. He was 11 and had CHF. I\’m a Firefighter/Paramedic and felt helpless to do anything for him. It\’s breaking my heart but I know he isn\’t suffering-
So sorry. It is so hard to let them go. Lost my faithful buddy of 24 years 2 weeks ago. Many thoughts being sent your way

My baby girl Selena
I miss her so much she was 18yrs old and still acted like a kitten she died May 11th 2020-
Dawn, Selena was sooo beautiful. You enjoyed a nice, long life together. It’s very hard to have been together so long and then have her not be there. My previous cat, Squirt, died at nineteen and, while it was hard to lose her, it was really her time to go. If it’s not too hard for you, may I ask what happened with Selena? How are you holding up?
