Wild B.I.R.D. Needs a New Nest (and Your Help!)

Since opening its doors in 2000, Wild B.I.R.D. has sheltered, rehabilitated and released more than 36,000 birds into the parks and open spaces around Denver. Unfortunately, they closed in September.

Wild B.I.R.D. has a goal of opening again sometime in 2015 but they need your help! So far, $200,000 has been raised for their capital fund though they’re still $125,000 short of the necessary funds to start building a new center.

Deborah J. Strimple, Executive Director, said “We get no Federal or State money. Please ask friends and family to help us in our efforts to give back to the Earth and its creatures. The staff, volunteers and birds all thank you so much for all you have done in the past.”
