Oh, what a sweetie. This really touches me, Vicki, because my cat has kidney failure (among other things) and we’ve been treating her but she’s losing weight now. Thank you for sharing Darla’s story. It helps when we share information. I am so sorry. Will you tell us more about your life with Darla -how you met, how long you were together….anything you want. We’re here. I’m sending you {HUGS}

Oh my goodness, Rosemary – she looks so much like my girl! What a beauty. I am so sorry she’s no longer with you. How long has it been? Please tell us about her. And thank you for sharing this sweet picture (we’d love to see more).

I had my sweet Shirley for 15 years. She was 1 in a litter of 4.She had kitten’s of her own and was also a grandma.She was just so loving and I held her when she had to go.

Oh boy, Rosemary. This really touches me because she and my old girl (17 1/2) could be twins. I don’t think mine ever had kittens. Did Shirley’s babies look like her? How long has it been since you said goodbye ? We know intellectually that she enjoyed a long life of loving with you, but boy, it just hurts so much… I’m thinking of you and sending you hugs….

Thank you so much for caring about my Shirley. Yes most of her kitten’s had alot of black on them. Sadly I just lost her on September 13th, 2021. I held her, talked to her and kissed when she passed on.I miss her so very much.

There are no good ways to say goodbye but, dying in our sleep, or being held by a loved one, seem to be the kindest ways, to me. In that, you were both lucky. It hasn’t been very long for you, Rosemary, and I hope you allow yourself to grieve as you need. Please let us know how you are doing. We’re thinking of you.
