Jan, two weeks is not long to process the extreme grief, and very real changes in your life💔This is one of the hardest, most painful times of your life and I hope you will go easy on yourself, and take care of yourself. Something that may help you is to write notes to sweet Baebe telling her what she meant to you, how much you will always love and miss her……anything you would like to share with her. And, you might also write a note TO You, From Baebe with what you think she would want you to know. I sincerely hope you will join our online group meeting this Thursday. You will find kind friends who are there to support you. We start at 7PM Eastern, you can stay as long as you like, it’s free, and the link is easy to open. (It’s under “Events”). 💔I am so sorry, Jacque💔Seeing our babies suffer is heartbreaking every moment, and trying to figure out what we can do to help them is a huge challenge. There can be a sense of relief that Sophie is no longer suffering, and peace knowing she has been released from her pain, but there is be a deep grief that she is no longer at your side💔Sophie will always be in your heart and I hope that you will, with time, find smiles before tears with her memories. Oh Tina, I am sorry💔What a darling baby. How nice that you shared so many years of love and fun. It is so painful to say goodbye and no amount of time is ever long enough. Please tell us more about your baby. I hope you arre able to find some joy in your memories.

Oh Suzanne, how heartbreaking. You have purrrfectly expressed how difficult it is to assess what is best for our beloved babies. My vet says “better too early than too late”, but it is often so hard for us to know exactky how they are doing. You are a very kind, caring mom to open your home and heart to so many, and take such good care of them. I’m glad you’re going to the vet with Kalina and will let them guide you in the best path for her, even though it is so painful for you. That is the most loving, selfless act of a pet parent. It takes a minute to fall in love for a lifetime, and it hurts in a way nothing else can to say goodbye. We are here for, and with you, Suzanne. Wow Jen, what a lovely story. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. It WAS meant to be – bringing you all together at just the right moment. Aren’t you kind to open your heart and home to Wally❤️And how fortunate to share ten wonderful years. I hope you can bring forth happy memories in your darkest moments, and find a smile before tears in recalling those times. Your pain is real. Your grief is a part of your ongoing love for Wally. With time, I hope your love, and the many joys you shared, outweigh the pain of parting. Jen, please join us on Zoom Thursday July 17th at 7PM EST. Get ready for fireworks 😨If your babies are sensitive to the sounds and smells of fireworks – and they can hear and smell from displays far away – here are some tips to help ease the trauma:
Find a quiet place to hang out. An inside basement room, perhaps. Play soothing music a little more loudly to offset the “bangs”. Speak in a soft, soothing manner. Have favorite toys and treats at hand. Stay calm yourself – our pets pick up our moods and emotions.

Hello Lara. Welcome to or kind, caring community. We have each experienced the tremendous pain of saying goodbye to a beloved pet and understand the emptiness in our home and heart when it happens. We share our stories and feelings knowing they will be received with respect and empathy. We hope to help one another move through the grief and find smiles and joy in our memories. Please exrend your own condolences to others if you like. And join us online for our meeting at 7PM EST every third Thursday of each month.
